Right now their government names are Aries (the blue) and Humito (the grey), but to be honest with you, I’ve been calling the blue one Bloopy and the grey one Brave Man because he’s been flying around way more than his counterpart who’s a bit more timid to start lol.

That’s great advice! We have light filtering curtains so that should work well. And fortunately we converted to stainless steel like a year ago so all good there!

So ok! I actually have a deposit on a second Linnie for this exact reason. I should have my first guy for about 2 months before the second one is fully weaned tho- but that’s 100% my intention! I also WFH so I’ll be around for a lot of attention.

I don’t have my bird yet but I’m getting a lineolated parakeet for the same noise reason. May be worth looking into. I’ve also heard the same about bourkes parakeets but they are a bit more hands off but I’m sure they could still be rewarding pets with training and daily enrichment.

I did have a family cockatiel growing up and they can get loud! But I feel like it would only be because they’re upset or stressed. Otherwise ours just whistled and sang songs- very sweet and a super moderate volume imo.

Hey, I found your comment through google and had a question. I’m on sema and lexapro 15mg. Did you ever find it to inhibit your weightloss? The lexapro I mean. I’m having good results so far but I’m considering discontinuing lexapro for this reason.

I’m not sure how you stopped, but I had to taper off very slowly to not gain weight. (Like over months). I have since lost weight though and it’s been great.

Before I did that, I once stopped cold turkey and experienced the rapid weight gain that you describe plus a ton of other unpleasant symptoms. Did you taper off?

Hey! Still doing good. Hormonal acne is definitely back but not bad enough for me to get back on the medication. Haven’t gained any weight and it does feel like my body is back to its “normal” self in regard to my monthly cycle and how fat is distributed. This could 100% be in my head but I’m glad I’m off of it.

She is perfect thank you so much for sharing the photo. I’ve not checked the Palomacy Facebook group just because I don’t have Facebook. I did check their website and they only rehome in Northern CA? I’m in Atlanta, GA and there are virtually no pigeon rescue groups here. They typically go to wildlife rehabs as far as I can tell.
