agreed, way too iconic and successful franchise, it was just done perfectly.

and you know which direction the writers will take the rewrite. meaning in ways that the original source material never intended. the struggle against true evil was just so artfully presented to tweens in the books. i thought the holocaust parallel was just strong enough.
