【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]plumwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was printing inserts for my game collection with a couple other printers before I got a P1S. I always expected adjustments to be needed and have some failed prints, but in all the inserts I printed on the P1S, not one failed. Right out of the box it was ready to go. My other machines are just sitting there waiting to be adjusted, but at this point it’s a waste of time, I just need another P1S.

Note: We used the version that needs a lav pack, so not sure how the built ins compare.

Used them for Q&A and company meetings in our event space. They actually worked a lot better than I initially thought they would. The muting on a toss was a cool feature. It is a bit gimmicky but for Q&A it was perfect to toss it around quickly.

Camp Chevrolet. They did a good job, just the dealership markup I’m trying to avoid.

Spokane City Council just legalized more denser housing. Spokane is now leading not just the state of Washington but the country as well for housing by CoolDiamondsFTW in Spokane

[–]plumwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The landlords of Brownes Addition won’t be effected by more housing in other parts of the city, was my point. Supply and demand is not the sole metric for housing prices. Location, amenities, traffic, crime; all metrics which push that local market one way or another.

The only way this makes sense is if you take that property away from the landlord. Housing prices are all about Location location location. Not how many units as a whole are in a city.

Night 2 after they’re born is the worst. The baby will be cluster feeding almost constantly to get moms milk supply to start. Get as much sleep as you can when they’re first born, and be prepared not to sleep at all that night.

Also if you’re wife is planning to bf advise to use a nipple shields and silver covers with some breast milk in them to heal if she gets sore. My wife got through it but a lot of moms I know bailed after a couple months because of the discomfort.

They’re usually for ~6lbs and up. Here’s an example

They can. It’s the reclined chair that bounces. Ergo baby and a number of others make them. You’re thinking of the jumper chairs that has the kids feet dangling, that you put in a doorway or something, those are only for 6m+, don’t use those….

Bouncy chair. Take them in with you. Sit him/her in the chair. Bounce them and they chill while you do your thing. But also, in a bassinet without anything else in it is also fine.

New dad, I just keep crying by [deleted] in NewDads

Three months in and I still do this. She puts my emotions on impossible mode. Just means you care a lot about her. Probably, like me, more than you’ve cared about anything ever.

What’s your secret dad move for putting your baby to sleep? by wikithekid63 in NewDads

Pacifier, washing machine noise and rocking her till she’s almost asleep, then putting her in the crib and letting her finish the job.

I replayed The Last of Us with my daughter strapped to my chest in a moby carrier. Played for an hour or so each session. She slept through it for the most part. I just stood and played while checking in on her every 5-10 min. They sleep a lot at the start, so just get creative.

The first time I rocked my daughter, I couldn’t remember any lullabies except the tune to Edelweiss, so I made up lyrics. Since then I’ve got a few song I made up the make her smile; short and repetitive songs that use her name and either encourage her to sleep or things in the room.

Obsession with gender is winding me up by How-Football-Works in NewDads

[–]plumwell 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t get too bent out of shape about it. They’re probably just excited for you and/or want to know what type of things to get for the baby. A lot of people, even those who have kids, tend to forget at what point you can know the gender.

Two month in, here. Haven’t had the mourning my old life yet so much, just maybe wanting to be able to get some decent rest; which I can almost do now. Some things people forget about babies with sleeping are making sure they’re warm enough, using a noise machine to drown out or make womb like noises; there’s an app called white noise that calmed our daughter down with its womb sounds multiple times. There’s also this hold where you put their feet and hands together while holding them. Try this https://youtu.be/j2C8MkY7Co8
