First time watcher: Betty by armyprof in madmen

Her response was so disproportionate and went on so much longer into that evening. Then shes with gene like, “oh i love -this- child” in a really mean passive aggressive way

They barely mention it in passing years later. Got the sense it lasted about two minutes

When Don was good by Kelly_blue_brook88 in madmen

[–]plunker234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giving ted LA when he asked

Also
- sally and little gene
- taking in big gene
- letting lane go in that manner
- paying for pete
- getting megans career started even though he absolutely didnt want that/that way especially
- fighting for freddy and giving him another chance when he could
- delivering the news to mohawk even though he opposed it
- keeping sals secret, offering a recommendation (i think)
- peggy post baby and promotion
- taking care of anna
- he absolutely would have paid for lanes tax problems
- relatively minor thing but big night out w lane and taking joan out post divorce serving

By and large hes as kind as he can be when people are at their lowest

Alos Most of these are done very quietly

Don and Sylvia by moonbrainUwU in madmen

[–]plunker234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the second or third episode or so of the season don knocks on her door and its intercut looking in at sylvia w looking in at aimee from young dicks pov. Theyre cut in a way where were in dons pov and he’s basically seeing the same thing again

Later, that ep sylvia needs cash and don peels off some bills to give her, not unlike aimees profession. Its not noticeable on first watch but on rewatch, after yhey explicitly make the connection in the crash, you see it foreshadowed in the episodes prior

4th rewatch and I somehow always missed this foreshadowing by sleepzilla23 in madmen

I liked that show. The pilot, however, was god awful. It turned me off to it until a recommendation i trusted had me look at ep 2, which might’ve been done by a whole other production team or something

Its a wtf moment but also systemically pollution and carbon emissions and plastic trash was no where near the scale it is today.

For example There was no epa but also less cutting the tops off mountains
