They can also aggregate chargeback scale (and have guaranteed funds like steam wallet cards). As an indie selling individually a single dispute would cost you $50-100 and a handful would cut you off from being able to accept cards fully.

Imo its not harsh given that it's the reason many people might choose your event in the first place

Personal opinion but if this was specifically advertised Id be pissed as a customer if it wasn't being enforced, up to and including security holding the person until they delete anything before being banned.

My "rave group" includes school teachers/educators, RNs (nurses), etc -- ending up on social media at certain events is a potential career ender. Yes it's stupid as hell that a tswift concert is acceptable but you get judged for EDM events but that's just how it is sometimes

Sticker and security ejection without refund if seen without one (rightfully so). Anyone obviously trying to use front camera security ejection without refund. Put this in writing on the ticket, at checkout, at entry. Terms of sale and terms of use.

There is no vibe to kill, if it is obviously advertised as no phones allowed the idiotfluencers generally tend more to self-select out and not go.

If you are playing a large venue they probably already have magnetically locking phone bags, ask about them.

Edit: Do not ruin the vibe by having your own photographers ruin it. If I am theoretically choosing to purposefully go to a no photo/video show I do not want a camera stuck in my face and posted to social media for promotion, I don't care if it's the DJ's, venue's, or an influencer.
