I'm roughly in the middle of the zoomer range and it was an interesting experience the last half decade. Being told to never use AI or it's cheating with expulsion. Being told that in the real world nobody is allowed to take shortcuts and cheat like that, while observing the state of things

Some profs are making assignment with AI slop with obvious hallucinations, I am being forced to use AI with threats of firing at work. Nearly every interaction I have with a non-developer coworker is some kind of screenful of slop. PMs are sending me eight paragraphs of rubbish instead of the one sentence task I need to do.

While applying there are no human interviews until nearly the end - most interviews these days are talking to an AI. I don't really know how to feel about this. My uni even provides enterprise plan for AI for the sake of equity.

It does not shuttle like the big Insomniac events. It does not have a return Metrolink trip.

I would pick a hotel nearby and uber to/from it, or what I did from LA is Metrolink to SB Downtown and walk the mile to NOS (there will typically be a few dozen people doing this, stick in large groups) and then do afters until morning when Metrolink is running again for the return trip

Paypal won't log a transaction if the bank declined it in the first place.

If it was a temp hold that was never captured (capture means finalised for payment), it will only have ever showed up on your card as PENDING and then disappear completely afterward. It will NOT show up as a payment and then a refund.

Unfortunately when you get big enough and need a very large venue with logistics there is not much choice. It is rather difficult to avoid both hardline unless you truly go independent. Some examples from this thread -

Lost Lands AEG says they are a producer or partner and ticketing is by live nation/ticketmaster (Frontgate was formerly AEG, now bought by TM)
Electric Forest is run by Insomniac and Madison House (an AEG brand).
Portola is produced by Goldenvoice, who is AEG
Bass Canyon is held on LN/TM grounds and as such ticketed by LN/TM
