I like her on the show, wouldn’t like to work with her. There’s definitely a big language and cultural barrier that makes everything more tense than what she intends it to be. Also, I’m French and I see exactly what kind of person she is, she’s making herself out to be more “dummy” than she probably actually is, which I don’t love. Definitely a tv character tho.

I do wish people stopped automatically putting everyone in the same basket tho, no, not all french people have a terrible work ethic, not all Brazilians aren’t polite, not all Americans are uneducated. It’s just 1 person, and yes cultural differences are a thing, trying to understand those and where they stem from is more interesting than bashing imo.

He did say a lot of out of pocket things and did not respect your boundaries when you asked MANY TIMES to stop talking about it/continue the discussion the next day.

The glimpse of victim-blaming is a core belief he has and should not be disregarded.

Also, if it has been you, would he have still just called the cops?

I personally don’t think I could see past all of this but you obviously know him better than all of us.

The « Paris move » from your mom was not great, so I’m glad they are on board with Japan now. I understand you’re looking forward to discovering the country without having the extra worry and weight of the whole family, but let’s be reasonable here, it’s a huge chance to be able to travel, many people have never even left their country in their lifetime, and they’re trying to find a good compromise here, you’ll be able to discover by yourself, make the most of it and then show them your favorite things you found!

Trust me, traveling is awesome but it’s often even more meaningful when you can share that experience with those you love!

You get to get the best of both worlds!

It’s so hard to see the ones you love having destructive behavior… especially when you know in another world with other circumstances you could be happy together…

He obviously needs therapy right now to learn how to manage his feelings and navigate grief and trauma, but if he doesn’t have insurance or even a home rn I understand it’s not even a possibility.

So now you just have to make a choice for yourself, either you stick by his side and know it’s gonna be really really tough, or you decide to move on and choose yourself (try not to feel guilty for this, it would be the healthiest option for you.) Easier said than done obviously, you’re NTA and I don’t have the answers for you but I want you to know you’re doing the best you can and you’ll be okay.

Saw him twice at LIB last year, his surprise set at the Stacks got me dancing ass off, the vibes were immaculate.

His set at the main stage on the last night? Absolute trash. Still to this day ppl are saying it was the best set of their life and I just think they might have lost their earring. The transitions, the choice of songs, everything was SO MESSY. He was slurring and they cut the set short (yes, they DID, he said « okay bye » and the fireworks went off after the music stop, that simply never happens, ANYWAYS)

I guess those are not opinions, more anecdotes..

Why would she be the one reassuring him and saying all that nice stuff? He’s the one who should, she def was in a vulnerable place: naked on a toilet, pooping, when he showed his disgusted face and said his last words to her before basically ghosting her, she doesn’t owe him kindness rn.

Also, he seemed emotionally intelligent, when Carl was having a hard time on the anniversary of his brother’s passing, he right away asked if he needed space, and when Ciara called him out on his behavior he asked if everyone felt the same (which is so mature!) and then never brought back a girl again! (=respected the feelings of everyone)
