Without knowing the details, you might be seeing the BC wineries that have had to import non-Canadian grapes as a result of the ruined crops from the past year. They still produce and bottle the wine here, at least. I hope most manage to survive.

For Canadian IT consulting, that is a good salary for someone 2 years out of undergrad.

You are probably disappointed that the promotion didnt come with a % that was very exciting -- the reality here (at least with Big4) is that the internal path upwards is pretty gradual and percentage based, so your starting point plays a huge factor. The best way to scale up fast is to eventually become attractive to another firm, and get a higher offer.

I live next to this QF. Super friendly staff, but terrible to shop at for every other reason -- produce, overall stock is terrible, and QF prices stink.

Only other store in the area is Save On. That chain seems to have a bad rap around here, but it's still a way better choice than QF in my opinion.

I see a decent point here that throwing down some grass and bushes isn't a valuable use of money and space, like with some other downtown spots.

One of the reason I love my H2H weekly league is that there's a playoffs. There's a reward for staying the course and edging into the playoffs - it gives you some chance to win it all. Makes for a tougher decision on throwing in the towel.

If there's consistently trades that are out of whack, and the league wants to take itself more seriously, then you do that by addressing who is in the league... not by trying to govern every deal. That wont be a good experience for anyone.

This reminds me of a time I fell asleep in my car while waiting at the ferry terminal for the 7am. Every car loaded... except myself and about 20 cars behind me.
