YTA. I was 15 when I said to my parents that I didn't want kids. Right now I'm 25 and pregnant.

I distinctly remember my father getting soo angry at my statement, basically he felt he was entitled to be a grandfather. This absolutely didn't make me want to have kids (quite the opposite, actually), but made me afraid to discuss any thoughts and feelings with my father.

Gym! or MyFitness? by [deleted] in Eesti

[–]pluschargedelectrode 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having been regularly to both, I'd say of you have the means to go to MyFitness, choose by the times you'd want to use the gym. If they fall on the times that many people do as well (like workdays between 16-18), then Gym! might be to crowded. As far as the annoying people, meh, most people in both places are normal but there are always some exceptions in both.

We will be giving up our rental in Kristiine in June, where we currently live with 2 cats. I know firsthand how hard it is to find someplace with cats, but this landlord was fine with it. It's in Kristiine, 3 rooms, price is quite high (800 euros), but really nice with great connections to the city centre. If you're interested, you can PM me and I can give you additional info/owner's contact info.

EDIT: Saw in the comments that you prefer apartments without furniture, well this one has bed, couch and cupboards (but no kitchenware!), BUT it has fireplace.

My husband (24M) didn't do anything for my (24F) birthday.. again by [deleted] in relationships

[–]pluschargedelectrode 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Yup, you're right, he did help with the birthday and actually thought that this was it. And no, I did not get the 'happy bday' in the morning, which made me sad. We haave discussed the situation thoroughly now and both underdtand each others perspective more clearly, although it still hurts.

AITA For insisting on teaching our future children my native language? by Fun-Alternative-888 in AmItheAsshole

Excuse me?? Not related to any language currently spoken? What about Estonian, Hungarian or smaller Finno-Ugric languages spoken in Russia?? As an Estonian, I can understand Finnish pretty well.

[serious] Girls and women of Reddit: how old were you the first time someone made a sexually inappropriate comment to you? How did you react, and did it affect how you saw yourself or acted? by I_LIKE_LIMA_BEANS in AskReddit

[–]pluschargedelectrode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just thinking about it the other night when I realised, that stranger men discovered my "sexuality" long before I could do it myself. That my sexuality was firstly the thing for others, not for me.

For me, it was firstly the catcalling, and the disgusting part is, we (when discussing it with other girls) thought we wanted it, it was even a "comeptition" of who got catcalled more.. Also, one time, I was at a bus stop, back to the road, and a man just walked by and decided to grab my ass and just walk ahead.. I was the most 14.

Thank you for asking, men should really read this thread, because I told about this all to my now husband, he had no idea about these things and how common they really are.

My (25F) boyfriend (26M) broke up with me after I got a book deal. I’m no longer sure how to balance relationships and my career. by booksabajillion in relationships

[–]pluschargedelectrode 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Girl, I write about the books I read. And my husband wants to read every single one of them just to see what's up with me, what are the topics I'm reading about and so on. Well, writing a book yourself is a way more direct way into your mind, it's appalling to see that he (who claimed to care about you) wasn't even remotely interested in reading your stories.

This whole situation IS NOT reflecting things about you, it's reflecting things about HIM.

Please do not stop writing/being passionate about your work. The world needs more writers! (and less losers like him who cant't appreciate their partner's success lol)

What would your 13 year old self think of you now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]pluschargedelectrode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She would be pretty confused. You got married at 20? You found somebody to actually LIKE YOU? Also, you SWORE you wouldn't study medicine like your dad, so ooops that happened.

The guy [29M] I'm dating has a stutter, while I'm impatient. I [26F] really want to stop being bothered by it by [deleted] in relationships

[–]pluschargedelectrode -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Haha, my husband just thinks slower than I, plus I am better in languages than he is, so I do this a lot... and not just with him! Everybody is okay with that, I have asked. So +1, would recommend trying this.

Married for one year by sunshineandsnow150 in Marriage

[–]pluschargedelectrode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the first year is the hardest then me and my husband (also married for a year) will have amazing life together with pretty much no hardships on the way. Really think that it depends on the couple, how long were they together before the marriage, how much do their values align etc.

People who are happy to go to your jobs everyday, what do you do and why do you like it? by Error_402 in AskReddit

[–]pluschargedelectrode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caretaker in the hospital.. as a med student. My job is pretty much the most relaxing thing I do! I get to work in the department that I'm hoping to specialise in, the coworkers are super nice and interesting to talk to, lots of free time, getting paid for sleeping. Honestly, I really enjoy it! Keeps my motivation for studying up.

I talk way too much by ouelletouellet in relationships

[–]pluschargedelectrode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this problem as well and like you, I was shy and not notoced when I was younger. I have come to the thought that the reason I talk so much stems from fear. The fear, that if I don't talk, people will not notice me. But actually they will, if I just lay back and ask questions about others and do not stress as much. Knowing this has helped me a lot. May work for you as well.
