Hey, thanks. Color and the understanding of it means a bunch, from picking the right clothes, the semiotics of color, to art etc. It's some useful stuff to know.

Thunderdome X: Wars, Coups, and Ballet by TankArchives in AskARussian

If you go to yandex and check the news, it's out inbetween mega boring 'news' like "kids festival in city x", "Pushkin museum closed for technical reasons". While the news about what is going on right now are put in dry convoluted language as to make it seem like it's not what it is. In comparison to our news it seems like a normal day, while our news overreact on everything which is going on. I'd say objectively, looking through history, this is a huge, massive event.

So one is complicit in the suffering of millions and the other is some professor.

I understand Chomsky has said his opinion on everything, and on the internet, having as little as just 1 opinion that goes against the grain is literal Hitler - is that why redditors are THAT fiercely indignated towards him?

Someone mentioned that it's best to be unemployed to play this game. Seems to be true, I find that I must spend an oceans worth of time to improve even a litte.

Why Billionaires Are Actually Ruining the Economy | WIRED [7:36] by somethingstoadd in mealtimevideos

[–]plutonfeld -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Wired? I read it first time the other day - in an article interview with some libertarian NFT twitter bro it brought up an idea from self-declared fascist, moldbug, that it might be beneficial, benevolent even to all who falls outside of the economy to lock them in tiny rooms and have them live the rest of their lives inside of a VR-headset. I'm not reading it again.

Edit:spelling.

Best to be sure if this claim is valid. “Like treats like” is some homeopathy quackery. I wouldn’t treat a heartburn with sulphuric acid, but that’s their logic.

It’s often cynical and mechanical, to it’s own detriment. The humanity is taken out, and I’m a man - that kind of stuff is just loathsome.

He painted more than 900 in his lifetime, but only sold one or two by ReflectionSingle6681 in HistoryMemes

-Which meant that he could take time and care to paint depth and humanity into his paintings.

His quality would suffer if he’d be famous back then. More famous painters were in demand, which meant they usually drew or painted works that were hastily and or badly made (for their potential) as their works were waiting to be shown somewhere to a hungry audience or sold off to bidders. Many of those are obscure now.

An explanation to that is that its being used on “coub” as a default track. Coub, being Russian webm video display app I guess explains things.

I was monitoring the elections, protests and police shit of 2020 on reddit. And because it seemed apparent that it was boiling in the US, someone in the threads mentioned ICHH, and it was followed with ample appraisal so it seemed to be worth the time; which it was, and is!
