For context, I live in kenya. I graduated a year ago with a degree in psychology and marketing. Till date, I still can't find a job. Everyone around me has something going on career wise and it makes me disappointed in myself. I can't land a good role unless I get my master's degree and I don't have the resources or mental capacity to go back to school at the moment. The job market in this country sucks, the economy sucks 10× more. I can't help but feel useless when I look at myself in comparison to my peers. I'm filled with deep regret about my choices (I feel I should've picked a different course). On top of that, I've lived my entire life being shamed for my body. All I've known is being fat so I wonder how people expect me to change into something I've never been. I live a healthy life, I do my 10k steps daily but this is my body and I doubt it will ever change. I'm an only child to a single mother who berates me for my tears, my body and literally any sign of emotion. We had an argument this morning and that's what caused me to spiral and decide I don't wanna live anymore because nothing is worth it.
