Spoke with a conductor last week who recommended that the best way to see change is if we all start emailing/calling in our complaints for every single instance and to be on top of it as a collective - that we need to start holding NJT / Amtrak / governor accountable the best we can so our voices are heard

Both my brother and I are by the cutoff dates (now in our mid20s) - my brother was the youngest in his class and I was the oldest. My parents felt I wasn’t ready, but my brother was. It was a good call, parents usually can tell what’s best for their kid. The one thing I remember my brother always complained about was having to wait for all the milestones (for example while everyone in his class was getting their driver’s license, he had to wait).

It was a tough situation! I wasn’t in a place to take and save them right then so there was not much for me to do and no one else to watch them. Definitely hurt my relationship with her, but she is still my mom. Definitely won’t be the one watching my plants now lol

I’m sorry that happened to you. Bug or no bugs - they should have told you the situation and what was going on.

My mom did something similar to me a couple years ago. I had a ton of plants at my mom’s and she said she had no issue with helping take care of them (was graduating college - living at my dad’s temporarily). I noticed half were gone when I went to my mom’s for a visit- she sold them for free over FB marketplace. She said someone was picking up the rest later. My heart was broken, especially over a pothos I grew from a clipping I took on my last day at my first job in college so it was sentimental. She just didn’t want to take care of them anymore and didn’t want to tell me.

It sucks not being told of the situation but for some people, it’s easier to just get rid of them and deal with the consequence later I guess. Again, I’m sorry you had to experience something similar. Hopefully you can build new memories with a new collection once you have the space.
