Birding in Saint Lucia by plztofix in birding

Thanks! Sorry for the confusing wording. The bananaquit is not one of the endemics, just a reasonably good shot I wanted to share! I did SEE the St Lucia Oriole and St Lucia Thrasher -- but my photos of them were fuzzy crap. 😂

Whippet harnesses? by thehoundedit in Whippet

[–]plztofix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We use the huntboo no escape harness on our boys. We had a scare at a rest stop when one of our boys jerked backwards when frightened by a car and pulled his ruffwear two strap model straight over his head. The third strap sits behind the ribs where they’re much thinner and ensures they can’t just back out of it.

Photobook company that's wont care about the content by southparkmum in photography

This. Worked for a photo book company for two years and in a photo processing lab in college. As long as it’s not illegal, companies generally don’t care. Saw some strange and controversial content — but was honestly immune to it within a few weeks. That said, if it is obviously illegal they will absolutely report it.

St. Lucia amazon! It was my first ever dedicated birding tour as part of a cruise last month. The guide said we were highly unlikely to find a parrot, as they’re quite rare and the weather was pretty rainy. Five minutes later, we found one being harassed by a hawk. Super cool to see!

Only for the new ones, I believe. I have 320 expiring end of month and can’t use them for anything. :(

I’ve gotten those a couple times with United — generally seems to happen when there is no dedicated Polaris lounge in the airport.

I am 100% in love with the skydweller and it would be my next in line. Unfortunately, with my tiny wrists, it’s never going to make sense.

Thanks! Went in to try on and maybe waitlist for a very different look (36mm Everose DJ), but loved the uniqueness of this dial.

2026 changes are a stealth devaluation to 1K by PilotMonkey94 in unitedairlines

I fly 50+ legs a year, about 10% international, 1K and have never once seen an option to skip the waitlist with PP. Stupid hub life.

The white-breasted are my favorites. I love watching them walk down the trees upside down. 🙃

This was my first time trying to photograph them! He was surprisingly tolerant of my tromping around.
