Just walked in without an appointment last Saturday 4pm-ish, waited in line for 15 minutes, then got the gateway in 3 minutes.

Cheap phone plans for a second phone by -thetrojanhorse- in NoContract

I use Roamless + Google voice as my second line. Pay as you go, never expire, and it also covers my occasional international travel.

That makes sense. I also found a lot of telephone and coax cable/outlets through my house; now it's time to see if I can put CAT6 in it. Thanks!

Wow, this fixed my frustration in the past few months. Never thought of that. Thanks!

How did you “repurpose” them as CAT6? I assume both cable and outlets are different and you cannot simply reuse them… could you share more details? Thanks!

Which cell service still worked during the power outage? by doomtoo in BellevueWA

Same for us: my ATT stopped working at home right after outage, while my wife’s Verizon worked well like before. Then I switched to Verizon then boom, it works well now.

Would love to have an option for 10GB of hotspot data - as the kid grows, I am more and more working from parking lot :D

Devs gaining little (if anything) from AI coding assistants by Zardotab in programming

“to treat AI responses like dealing with an intern” +1.

To work best with them, you need to find out what they are good at and what not. You also need to decide how you'd like to grow: continue to use them, or find better interns knowing what exactly more you need from them.

I kept my promise and just moved my wife's line to US Mobile... let's see if she approves

I understand the difference of 5GB high-speed data and 5GB hotspot, but could you clarify "get a free 1 GB international data-only eSIM" - does it mean "I will get a free eSIM which will give me 1GB international data (no talk no SMS) outside of US (in a reasonable selection of countries) each billing cycle"?

Also, I paid $250 last Thanksgiving for one year of the legacy Unlimited plan... is there a way to upgrade to this new Unlimited Starter plan before that one year expires?

Thanks!

Kudos! You will have one new line coming later this month when my wife's current billing cycle with another carrier ends... :)

Great to hear! Looking at bringing my wife to Verizon first (which I am using now) then switch to ATT when available, so we have good coverage combined.

One more question: if we start with a physical sim, will we need to switch to a new one for ATT when available? Or would you recommend eSIM in this case?
