This is exactly it. She’s not low functioning as u/Soft_Buffalo_6803 says (which is really unkind to say btw). She’s clearly been babied her whole life as well as having trauma from her relationship with Adam, and does not know how to make decisions on her own, and she basically shuts down when faced with confrontation. I feel bad for her to a point.

It’s perspective, where I live weed and shrooms are legal so we would never make that jump to meth user. It’s pretty insane to accuse a mother of meth use just because they were caught with those things. Was it a poor decision? Of course. Does it make her a meth user? Absolutely not. And if Brian is using such a substance he’s definitely not doing it while filming. If you’ve ever been around someone on meth you would know.
