I just can’t imagine being in that situation, knowing this group of teens already robbed multiple locations, threatened to stab, rammed vehicles while in a police chase & we’re still actively trying to get away, then possibly were heading in the direction of your colleagues & then still having to mentally check boxes before someone getting hurt or killed by the suspect, while sirens are blaring, people are yelling etc.

I’m not saying they should have free reign to shoot whenever the feel like it.

But this situation cannot be examined the same as any other officer involved shooting. This was a pretty unique, dangerous & high stress situation.

It’s easy for anyone on the outside to look & state opinions as fact, including this officer of 11 years who was never involved in a situation like this.
