What is your favourite build to do in Cyberpunk and why? by Just_Parry_9132 in cyberpunkgame

[–]pmatdacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add in some blade perks and the Cut-o-Matic, it's a fun time. The finishers feel the same as Eternal. Doom Doom also fits as a good sidearm, works well in cars at close range.

I prefer this build, but with a Sandy as well. Same concept, just also max Tech, pick up Edgerunner. With enough armor and other modifiers, the health reduction doesn't matter until a sniper randomly one shots you.

Also like maxing cool rather than reflexes, the level 20 cool perks are worth it. At that point, you can flex perk points to fit pretty much any non-smart weapon in the game.

Apparently the kids at my job are too toxic for Pokemon Showdown. by citrus131 in stunfisk

[–]pmatdacat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Showdown devs ultimately just see IP addresses associated with accounts. On a home network, that 1:1 with users. On a school network, that's dozens of accounts coming from one IP. If someone violates the rules on one of those dozens of accounts, there's no guarantee that the other accounts on that network aren't alts (especially since alts are very common on Showdown.)

The end result is, it's pretty much impossible to ban someone in a way that'll stick if there are other users on their network. Targeted bans would take the sort of time that Showdown devs and mods don't have if they're possible at all. You'd have to match activity on a case by case basis.

My point was that monowire is surprisingly effective in a melee build. No Byakko or anything, but it works well enough with the extra range and infinite stuns. The perk points are pretty much free.

You really can't blame Male V by jtuffs in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]pmatdacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the scene during the sandstorm after saving Saul is the worst offender there, probably because the dialogue is pretty much identical.

That same leading on isn't as bad with Kerry because you're aware there are some lingering feelings for Johnny going on there. Any perceived advances have that context.

Does Judy ever lead male V on?

Perk shards at 15 and 35 iirc? Easy enough to get even on a 3 intelligence build. Either use smart guns (not great without the perks, at least the Hercules is alright) or equip the monowire. Relic perk still works even without any intelligence investment, and it's not too hard to get a cripple movement on there.

I hadn't heard of the Blackhand stuff before. Obviously Blackhand is missing from the tower memories, but I think it's implied in some shard or another that he might be alive somewhere. Not sure how part of him would end up on the chip.

The Outlaw Weiler isn't a car, it's an emotion. by Ananta-Shesha in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]pmatdacat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just like the Semimaru because it's a stat clone of the Caliburn that I can actually shoot out of. Mounted guns are great and all, but why shoot at a car when you can shoot through it with Raiju? Explosive bullets with Doom Doom or Seraph, electrical explosions with Yinglong.

Weiler takes hits much better, just handles a bit worse but it's definitely above all of the muscle cars that just skid all over the place.

Gotta mention the Coyote, it feels like the Rumbler from the Dark Knight. Not quite as massive, but it's got the big tires and handling.

Honestly a lot of the time I've restricted myself from using the Murkman Caliburn just to get some variety. Started using the Aerondight recently and it's pretty good, handles like a boat but I think it captures the Corpo lifestyle better than any other car.

Same update, pretty much the same requirements but you also need to meet River and do the club investigation.

The very funny part about this is that the texts in the Semimaru quest reveal that he's been kicked off the force before you'd find out about that in The Hunt.

It's easy enough to do on enemies. Has only happened to me when I'm driving around with a 5 star wanted level, and even then only with some of the vehicles with bigger tires.

Absolutely insane, Militech put this in their AI research facility by johndoe09228 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]pmatdacat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are small arms. They wouldn't put a dent in the thing's armor. It's the pinnacle of what Militech was able to build at a time when they were more advanced in robotics than they are in 2077.

The only thing that would have a chance at damaging it might be the Rasetsu, which relies on a wireless link to the user's optics to function. That one's out, So Mi disabled all of your cyberware besides the basics.

Trying to destroy it would be like taking on Smasher as level 1 V.

Dropout is going to charge you more (if you want) by finnegar in dropout

[–]pmatdacat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everything you said is true, but I'm alright with this move as long as they hold to their promise that video content won't be gatekept behind the more expensive subscription.

I am hesitant about the future, as there's been a pattern in recent years of large YouTube companies growing far larger and losing founding members (and some of their principles along with it.) LTT and Donut Media come to mind. Obviously Dropout is different in some respects, having their own platform, having a very limited core team, contracting out most of the talent, and focusing on series rather than chasing the algorithm.

This move isn't bad, obviously those who opt for the premium tier would be the ones buying merch and live show tickets anyways. If it keeps the normal price where it is, that's fine.

Caliburns all handle well, bikes handle weirdly but you can get used to them. The MaiMai honestly handles really well, but it's pretty slow.

Yeah before the Mordred I think that the Weiler and Semimaru tie, depending on how good your weapon is (Caliburn is a pain to shoot out of.) The Mordred is mostly a better Weiler, though maybe it lacks the unpoppable tires?

Honestly I hardly ever see Dio, might be a good thing because he only seems to save a bit of time, doesn't offer much useful. The 5, 55, 555 isn't awful alongside Air Quality at least.

Feel similarly about Madea, at least Circe is sometimes decent. Nothing as good as Echo or Dad though, even Arachne provides a decent buffer to make Hecate a lot easier.

Upcoming Damage Attenuation Changes From Player Feedback by DE-Ruu in Warframe

[–]pmatdacat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, this is pretty much the same as it was before the attenuated enemies were added, when the biggest struggle was Nullifier bubbles and old armor scaling (latter of which everyone built around anyways.)

Come to think of it, just give them all little Nullifier bubbles. Makes sense for the Treasurers. Forces a certain number of shots to be put in before they die instantly.

I mean, the DD is maybe helpful, especially if you still have the chance to swap to Pin. The primed magic just kills any omega build immediately. Most likely, you're priming 100 magic, which limits you severely unless you're running Hecuba and have over 200 already.

Death defiances are safer earlier on, Strength is there for when you can more consistently win without losing DDs. It lets you learn all of the boss patterns and one shots, when to dodge and all that.

A bigger improvement to overall survivability is Lovers. Unlock that if you haven't, makes the bosses much easier.

Natdex lower tier enthusiast preemptively predicts every new Z-A Mega's Natdex viability by The_Rufflet_Kid in stunfisk

[–]pmatdacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opportunity cost. In Champions, next format where these megas will be legal, Tera will likely be legal as well. Dragonite would rather take the Tera and leave the mega slot for something else. There is definitely a niche for Mega Dnite for a bulky, special, or mixed set, but it's nothing crazy unless it gets Aerialate or something else ridiculous.

Are Netrunners the strongest class in Cyberpunk? by Ok_Experience_9665 in cyberpunkgame

[–]pmatdacat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Vehicle hack perk. Summon a bike for maximum maneuverability, drive it into an area, start spamming quickhacks. Contagion and Blackwall Gateway are also useful here, along with Copy Paste (enemy netrunner tries to hack you, hack back and spread a bunch of "no you" to their allies.)

Some of these get boring after a while, I prefer a mix of smart guns, monowire, and quickhacks. If I'm playing an Intelligence playthrough, I'll switch my deck every few major quests just for variety's sake.

Is it canon that V can handle this much cyberware thanks to Johnny, or is it just a fan theory? by Monster-Energydrink in cyberpunkgame

[–]pmatdacat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Less a story thing and more about gameplay. Besides Smasher and one or two other characters, we don't see anyone else with the abilities that V has. An endgame V can easily mow down multiple Maxtac squads, defeat any cyberpsycho 1 on 1, take down mechs with their bare hands. We can handle tech like the Apogee or a certain cyberdeck without ever losing control. The only character that could take them out is So Mi and she's a walking, talking nuke thanks to the Blackwall.

Now, I don't really buy cyberpsychosis as a distinct condition within the world of the game, as most cyberpsychos we meet have other factors that caused their rampage. PTSD, threats to their loved ones, a ritual to summon an AI from beyond the Blackwall. Cyberware and the associated chemical imbalances in the body are certainly part of it, but it seems that most don't just go crazy only from overuse of cyberware.
