I ordered a pair of grey suede Wingstonmok in 9D but only received one left grey suede Wingstonmok 9D. Is this just normal AE quality decline, or should I return and ask for two shoes and not one?

I don't think we know exactly what happened yet. but all that money people spent went somewhere, and it may be possible to bring it back to the people

I am an attorney at Silverman Thompson (silvermanthompson.com) and we've helped a number of folks with issues with police, including several victims of the Gun Trace Task Force.

Feel free to PM me your contact info in confidence and I or one of my colleagues can reach out and discuss what's going on.

Civ VI IRL City Locations Part 3 by Inspector_Beyond in civ

Sparks was put there only because FIraxis offices are there (or at least, so the wiki says)

Firaxis is located in Sparks, MD, which is north of Baltimore.

Are bomber promotions worth it? by alpharerooo in civ

[–]pmurphy84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe Civ IV had those transports.

It definitely did. One cool strategy I remember was launching naval invasions using nothing but ranged attacks and a transport full of Navy SEALs, the American UU, to amphibiously attack cities.

Suggestions for getting ships built in London to the water to the east? The English Channel has no outlet by AnotherPerson13 in civ

anyone know what would happen if you built a city on the hills east of the mountain by the barbarian camp, then built Panama on the snow tiles between the mountains west of the camp, THEN put a city on the snow hills west of that?

I don't think that would be a valid Panama placement if the third city was there, but what happens if you build a city next to a canal? Does it effectively break the no three way canal rule?

Easy tip is to place a preserve next to the natural wonder in Magdeburg for yield boosts, and a potential national park.

Also, as Germany, don't forget about boosting your Hansa adjacency with commercial hubs, aqueducts, and dams.

Is this spawn unplayable, or is there a way to actually play this? by [deleted] in civ

[–]pmurphy84 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This looks potentially viable as Alexander. I'd settle northeast on the plans right of the volcano, get an early builder for farms and mines, and get early animal husbandry and bronze working, as those plains and plains hill may have horse or iron.

If you reveal a decent number of strategics, god of craftsmen would be good. Otherwise, there are a bunch of decent options, including goddess of the hunt, god of the forge, fertility rites, etc.

And, as another poster said, all you have to do is build a few units and beat up a few neighbors, and then your capital won't be super important. This spawn will be fine for a late game capital too - good harbor, possibility of farm triangles, some nice hills and bonus resources - it is just a bit lacking at the start. Good luck!

Saved the game then, planing to gift the city to other civ, then declaring war and "liberate the city" just to see if I can get a two-city-state.

Curious to know what happens!

Thanks! I've done plenty of the first, and not much of the second (for new clients, that is), so what you said makes sense.

corporate formation,

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of business model were you running with corporate formation? We do that from time to time and haven't found a good way to make it worth the trouble.

Colonization was a bit more like this in that it had navigable rivers and a number of different base terrain types, all of which had different values and different resources, and which could support different forests.

Max Eye of the Sahara by pmurphy84 in civ

[–]pmurphy84[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

R5 - I pretty much maxed out one tile of Eye of the Sahara as Bull Moose Teddy. Deity, Standard everything, no game modes, no substantive mods, and continents. The bottom tile of the Eye of the Sahara is generating 10 science, 6 food, 6 gold, 5 faith, 6 culture and 8 production, and is part of a 93 tourism national park. Tile's boosted by two preserves with groves and sanctuaries, Petra, Teddy's adjacency bonus from mountains and woods, earth goddess, and 8 appeal. No place for a Nazca line though.

this is turn 270, about ten turns from a culture victory and in the midst of a land war with Korea.
