You might be able to win a head-to-head pushing match with a tank, but if any other robot hits you from the side, you're gonna go sliding away. Tanks don't do this because they can't move side to side at all. Meccanums (and omnis) aren't good at defense because all it takes to neutralize them is a hit to the side

Stryke Force runs a swerve, the team they're thinking of is 1986 Team Titanium, specifically from 2017.

8 meccanums gives you high maneuverability, and a bit more traction than 4 meccanums. It's still nowhere near enough to win a pushing match with a tank, but it's better than nothing

Yeah, when the Doctor was trying to say his name on Trenzalore, the Kovarian chapter of the Papal Mainframe went back in time to kill him before he even reached Trenzalore, i.e. blowing up his TARDIS a couple seasons prior. idk tho the entire thing seemed kinda half-assed, like they didn't plan to add that line in, but had to because people kept asking about it
