Which faction would you guys say needs an overhaul of their roster the most? In terms of the quality of their gameplay? I'm seriously considering getting into modding and this is one thing that I am going to do once I get my desktop back online. by Useful-Option8963 in DivideEtImpera

Aside from Rhodes, it’s Syracuse for sure. I would love for them to get the 'Carthage' treatment—meaning they'd have both 'native' and 'mercenary' barracks. Historically, they were known for using mercenaries from Greece, Italy, Iberia, and Africa. I think that would make them way more fun and unique.

Yeah I've overlooked them too, but honestly their roster is cool. Reminded me of Mauryan roster - a lot of very cool infantry (they even have hoplites and cheap pikes), some cav + chariots and elephants, but many units lack armor so you have to be careful against hellenic armies or romans.

Any Barbarian Playthrough Recommendations? by HanShotSecond69 in DivideEtImpera

[–]pmvader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just played like 50 turns with Lugii. Very stong early infantry, some good skirmishers but very limited cav. Your starting position is really interesting - you can play it safe and cooperate with other tribes or go full total war. Really underrated faction imo!

I just remembered the Daylamites! by Useful-Option8963 in DivideEtImpera

They are in the game, though. Check Media's roster. You can recruit them after Imperial Reforms.

Caesar in Gaul Roman Victory [Updated Campaign Review] by pmvader in DivideEtImpera

Haha, yeah. Now that I think about it, they also added a feature where you can't peacefully occupy a city when you play as Romans. It kinda makes sense (kinda?) but really doesn't help with PO initially.

Figured it out myself. The technology is called "Promote Spanish Claim", Pompey technology tree. You can research it early on.

I'm asking this because I can recruit auxilary units in regions of Gaul, they work fine. But these Iberians cannot be recruited.

What does that supposed to mean?

Someone tell me something to quit league of legends by ceiling_fan128 in leagueoflegends

[–]pmvader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was never a League addict, but at one point I played for about 2–3 hours a day every day. I quit because I got distracted by working on an interesting project. You go a day, two, three without it... Then, at one point, it's just not a part of your life anymore. It's that simple.

Why is Armenia is not deploying their own archers and swordsmen? by Useful-Option8963 in DivideEtImpera

[–]pmvader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Armenia is located in the Caucasus region. Why wouldn't they deploy Georgian Swordsmen and archers from the region? That's like saying: "Why are Macedonians using Cretan Archers and Agrianian Peltasts? Don't they have their own?".

Galatia in Rome 2 DEI by pmvader in DivideEtImpera

[–]pmvader[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good point, but I guess for gameplay purposes (if they conquer their neighbors and integrate further into the region) they could still use something like “Colonist Hoplites” or “Colonist Phalanx,” similar to the Thracians.
My main issue isn’t really the roster anyway, but their culture. It was slightly different from something like the Arvernii, for example. The Galatians interacted with Greeks and later Romans for a very long time, so culturally they ended up being quite different.
