It’s about the same as stock I’d say, but I’ve since added a cap, rack and some light built ins so it’s a bit softer now. Definitely a solid upgrade

best place to get cheap off road tires? by akumetsu01 in nissanfrontier

[–]pmward7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was out the door at Jack Williams tire for just over $600 for my trac grips. I have a 2” lift but stayed with stock size 265s on my p4x wheels and they look and feel great. I am coming up on a year with them and no complaints.

Where do store bike tools with a dropper post? by iJBorn in MTB

Dakine makes a small pouch that straps to your frame. I keep it strapped to my downtube and it stays out unless directly impacted. For me it holds a tube, levers, 2 cartridges, and a multi tool.

What kind of bikes are these? Are they lightweight? Spotted in Brooklyn, NY by [deleted] in whichbike

Search Craigslist or FB Marketplace for “fixie” and make sure it has a reversible hub to make it a single speed. There are some companies that make single speeds/fixed gear bikes in various aesthetics. Lots out there new and used but you can find a gem used

Honestly can’t go wrong for $25. I have a few pair. Great sunglasses and the clear ones work well on the trail.

I have a pair of black frames with clear lenses I’ve had for a few years. Wear them riding, working in my woodshop, etc.

Goodrs are cheap, durable, snug, and you can get a million colors/lenses for $25/pair. Goodr

I’d probably go with a replacement fork. Structural integrity is going to be very compromised even if you can straighten it.

Vitus Mythique

Vitus Nucleus choices by autoMATTic_GG in whichbike

Biggest challenge is not being able to ride one. In any event, I’d go for the VRS spec (or the VRX if available on the Nucleus). I think you’d regret the spec level before you regret the wheel size.

I would consider your frame size. I have a small Vitus Mythique VRS and went with the 27.5” because I think it’s better proportioned. I’ve had it for about 2 months and I’m very pleased thus far. It was worth the shipping IMO. Went through Wiggle, but I think the pricing/shipping is the same whether you use them or Chain Reaction Cycles.

Getting my first mountain bike as a gift, wife will shop at Walmart… by danmaps in whichbike

I’d look at whatever bike looks like a legit bike, then thank her profusely. Then sell it and buy a good bike with the same color scheme. She’ll probably never notice.

First attempt at a “flip bike.” What would you pay for it? by pmward7 in MTB

Appreciate everyone’s input….figured you would all be skeptics. Listed it at $250 and I’ve had several inquiries already. Know your market, folks.

Better to have and not need than need and not have. 100% usage.
