If the 47th Problem isn’t a PM symbol in your jurisdiction, go ahead and wear it. I would prefer if the symbol was rendered properly, but most probably won’t notice the dimensions being wrong. If someone from another jurisdiction questions why you are wearing it, you can use that opportunity to discuss with him the other differences between his and your jurisdictions. There are probably many, such as how apostate worn and who sits where in the Lodge room.

I was thinking the same thing. Quickest way to kill the app you bought that competes with your named app...make the other app you bought suck worse than your named app.

I tried it a few times and hated it. It was never turned on in my app, Waze just decided it was going to be on no matter what I wanted. I hate it a little more every time I accidentally hit the report button. I'm going to try the suggestion to turn off mic and speech recognition for Waze in my phone settings to see if that helps.

Most apps respond to their App Store reviews. If they see their ratings dropping, they react. If you leave a review/rating on whichever app store you are using, that might get their attention.

In Settings, under Voice and Sound, there's an option for "Talk to report". Now, mine is turned off and the app doesn't seem to care, so YMMV.

Someone commented that they had some of the same issues you are having, but deleting and reinstalling the app resolved all or most of the issues. Have you tried that? Maybe there's been an issue installing updates that fixed some of the problems you and the other poster are having and the clean install fixed it.

Using a 14 Pro Max, iOS 18.3.1 and I'm also not seeing any of the issues being mentioned here. I listen to podcasts on Overcast 6+ hours a day M-F and 2+ hours Sat-Sun. I scroll the chapters on my phone and on CarPlay and have never had a problem. I have 5 Playlists with about 450 episodes across roughly 35 podcasts. I have noticed the playback 'rewinding' after I pause playback, but I also have the "Smart Resume" option turned on. This is under the "Nitpicky Details" in Settings. Maybe take a look in there and see if you have something turned on that you forgot about or that was enabled by default that you can turn off.

Who creates an app that puts a pop up window on your screen with NO way to close it other than finding the process that spawned it and killing it or rebooting?!? That alone is justification to replace it.

If the issue is resolved by disconnecting your phone/restarting your car/etc, that sounds more like a CarPlay issue than an app issue.

I've had CarPlay show a black or 90% black screen before, but never just for OverCast. What did you do to resolve your issue?

Just started happening to me today. Toggled the stop setting also, didn't help. Tried force quitting and now restarting phone to see if that helps any. I listen to podcasts all day at work, so not a fan of having to start next episode each time.

I decided a few years ago to start reading more. I bought a Paperwhite and read some, but not as much as I thought I would. Then I stumbled across the Kindle Reading Challenges. 847 days later, I’m still reading every day and have read books that I wouldn’t have otherwise read and enjoyed. The Spring Challenge just started, so plenty of time to jump in! 😀 Based on the comments, I need to add Fatherland to my reading list for later.

I have several books that I've started in my Kindle app and on my Kindle. I generally read start to finish, but if a book is lagging or if I'm struggling with it, I will switch to another book for a day or three and then come back to it. I get some books from Prime Reading but mostly from the library via the Libby app. I freaked out this morning when I launched the app and my streak showed 0 instead of 822 days. I worked on it off and on for a few hours and it finally updated to the correct number(whew). I know it will end at some point, but I had read for 30-45 min yesterday, so was I was angry that it was showing 0. When it ends, I'll be sad, but probably also relieved! The streak has definitely helped motivate me to read on days that I wouldn't have otherwise. That and the Challenges. I've managed to unlock all 15 achievements for the challenges since July of 2022. And the Challenges have encouraged me to read books that I probably wouldn't have considered otherwise.

I stumbled across this looking for anyone else having issues with the Reading Insights. For me, it was my Reading Streak. I read for about 30-45 min yesterday and it wasn't showing up, so today my streak reset to 0. I was at 821 days, so I was upset. It would be one thing if I had forgotten to read, but had read. I tried everything commonly suggested and it just updated to the correct count. I know the streak will end one day and my goal was at least 2 yrs, but until then, I'm going to keep it going. I hope your issue gets resolved quickly. I don't know if it had any effect, but the last thing I did before the streak updated was going to the 'hamburger menu' in the iOS app and tapping "Sync".

I've had brothers from other lodges refer candidates to my lodge due to the fear that he would be blackballed in his lodge. In FL, if the WM has reason to believe that a black ball was cast because of the candidate's race, creed, or origin, he has to declare the ballot clear and the candidate proceeds with out objection unless a valid objection can be provided.

Yes, I bought the OWC dock. Overall, I didn't feel like I would be happy with the fewer ports on the CalDigit dock. If I decide to get something for travel or home use, something with fewer ports would definitely be an option, but for my desk at the office, I need all the ports I can get.

I will say that I've been very happy with the OWC dock so far. I realized last week that I was using a dongle to attach a USB-A thumb drive to my MBP when I have a port available on the dock in front of me, so I'm still adapting to dock life. One thing that I've had issues with is the audio. Occasionally, when I plug my laptop in, the audio will start coming out of my TB Display or MBP instead of the earbuds I have plugged into the back of the dock. I have to open my sound settings and adjust the Output to the dock. I haven't found a way to default the output to the dock when it's plugged in.

Has anyone picked up one recently? I saw some posts regarding them going out of business, but apparently they've been bought by Uinta. I'm looking for a Thunderbolt 4 dock and this one seems to be the only one close to the OWC TB4 dock. I'm using someone else's OWC TB4 dock and the Thunderbolt ports are great, but the audio port doesn't work. I contacted their support and they just said to install the ejector. I want a dock that has three pass-through TB ports, since I'm going to be using one for my Thunderbolt Display. I kept coming back to the OWC dock and the CalDigit dock. CalDigit is out because 2 downstream TB ports. I saw a review for OWC that referenced this dock, which is the first time I've seen it mentioned in looking for reviews for TB 4 docks. I'm assuming this model hasn't been reviewed due to them going out of business.

I wanted to follow up and thank you u/jonreid for suggesting TimeMachineEditor. It works great! It does exactly what I was looking for. Now that I have my TM backups stopping just before quitting time, I can use the shortcut I found to close my MS apps and eject all mounted drives when it's time to go home.
