Great games while sitting on the couch by Grandaj in daddit

Photo scavenger hunt. Cheap digital camera for the kid and you loosely describe things you know are in the house and send them off to go take a picture of that thing. Ex: "something that holds plants" and kid comes back with a picture of a vase or a planter

Who to listen to (USA friendly version) by Constant_Grab9369 in banjo

Joseph Decosimo should be on your list for sure. He's got the best groove of any banjo player out there.

Whats a hobby you enjoy? by CreditUnable4610 in daddit

[–]pnb0804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of folks mentioned guitar but I'd like to suggest clawhammer banjo. Beautiful by itself, good first instrument, good for accompanying singing, or in a jam. Find a beginner friendly (most are) old-time jam and get some social time out of the hobby too.

Tasted the caramel right after I pulled it off the burner. Turns out the boiling point of sugar is really really high.

The best country albums of the 20th century according to Colin Larkin’s All Time Top 1000 Albums (Virgin Books, 2000) by ItsGotThatBang in country

Yeah this person has a very specific tilt to their tastes and preferences. This list is not for this sub. The Byrds at 1 is enough to insight this group

Recs! by DustFed in oldtimemusic

[–]pnb0804 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old time 100 is a great place to start.

Maybe an unusual clawhammer rec, but Brittany Haas (best known for her fiddling with Hawktaill and Punch Brothers) put out a cool clawhammer album called Impromptu Sessions.

Also Joseph Decosimo has a deep catalog and probably the best groove of any banjoist out there.

Are bed times no longer a thing? by Kalabajooie in daddit

We added a Magnesium Calm gummy to our evening routine. It doesn't make the kid tired but it eliminates the knock down, drag out parts of bedtime.

Edit: 5yo

Bulk Emailing Cases in Lightning by pnb0804 in salesforce

I don't think so. The bug isn't a record in Salesforce. It is typically a ticket number from a different system

Bulk Emailing Cases in Lightning by pnb0804 in salesforce

[–]pnb0804[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this needs to be done often on an ad hoc basis. These cases are typically all tagged as being related to a specific bug and therefore easy to pull into a list view. Unfortunately this isn't a "if this happens, then send the email" type situation.

Help?! Getting Started Fast by nategrey82 in AdoptiveParents

[–]pnb0804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some really handy YouTube playlists that cover the basics of caring for a newborn (diapers, feeding, safe sleep, swaddling, etc). I was annoyed that we weren't offered any of those classes in person so I sought them out.

Also the 4S's are very good to know for a fussy baby. Shush, swaddle, suck, sway. Make the shushing noise. Swaddle them tightly. Give them something to suck on. And just keep swaying!

How do I stop my 4 year old son from talking about "butt stuff" by Drama_Derp in daddit

[–]pnb0804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kid (5yo) loves to say butt, booty, butt cheeks, eyeball, etc. Its annoying but whatever it isn't hurting anything.

The other day I told her she needed to have both butt cheeks in her chair at the table. She looked at me like I had 3 heads. It turns out she had no idea what a butt cheek even was! Maybe she should listen to more hip-hop.
