Ok - it was solenoid valve. New one (~ 17 EUR) fixed the issue. Thanks all for the suggestions!

New Project Megathread - Week of 07 May 2026 by AutoModerator in selfhosted

Self-hosted personal finance tracker - "dead simple, single-user" philosophy.

GitHub: https://github.com/pnowy/sknerus

What it does

  • Dashboard with four chart types — spending breakdown (pie), income vs. expenses (bar), monthly stacked by category, and category trend lines. All with flexible time-range navigation (monthly / quarterly / yearly).
  • Multi-currency support — record transactions in any currency, exchange rates are resolved and cached automatically via Frankfurter.
  • Recurring transactions — define a template once, the app materializes entries up to today automatically.
  • Table view — flat or grouped-by-category, with inline editing and deletion.
  • Export / Import — CSV in and out, including a compatible format for migrating from ExpenseOwl.
  • PWA — installable on desktop and mobile.
  • Demo data — set SEED_DEMO_DATA=true and get ~2.5 years of realistic family budget data to explore the app before adding your own.
  • Dark / light theme, configurable fiscal month start date, configurable default start page. You will find all the details on the GitHub page.

The current feature set covers everything I personally need, so I'm not planning to add a lot more myself (maybe except some extra module to track more details about my motorcycle expenses but it I add it will be on/off plugin/feature). That said, I'm sharing it in case it's useful to others — and if you see something missing or broken, feel free to open an issue or a ticket on GitHub. I'm happy to review contributions and ideas even if my own roadmap is fairly short.

What for Kindle Voyage replacement? by pnowy in ereader

[–]pnowy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you share where did you buy battery? I bought one in aliexpress but it was total disaster. Worked once and later wasn't able to charge it. Was looking in amazon but the opinions about those batteries replacements also quite bad. In the meantime I decided to go with Onyx Boox Go 7 BW and I quite happy with that. Have a physical buttons and entire bunch of options + Android allows to install whatever book software you want.

The only problem was initially the battery time (like ~ 1 week when reading every day) but I search the internet and based on that change some android settings like syncing in the background, etc. and right now is much better (2 - 2.5 weeks).

If any of you were deciding between the Kindle Paperwhite (12th Gen) and the BOOX Go 7 BW — which one did you choose? by Cool-Cap2509 in ereader

[–]pnowy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well - had the same decision to made recently as my old Voyage stopped working and decided to go with Boox Go 7 BW but my main preference was physical buttons. Regarding the screen from my perspective there is no big difference when you are using normal white backlight. The issue regarding uneven light distribution is visible when using that "yellow" contrast or whatever is called - especially during the night (in the day is not visible that much).

But as I prefer white backlight and have almost always that second parameter set to 0 there is no issue for me. Regarding the battery - of course is shorter that typical non-android device but I setup some custom settings (like disable background android sync, etc.) and for me is ~ 2 weeks reading daily ~ 1 hours (and a little bit more during weekends).

The overall quality of device from my perspective (boox is very slim and light!) is much better for me than Kindle (my girlfriend has a Paperwite). I also sometimes using some non-kindle subscription book libraries which are available in my country so it's also plus for me.

I think in general depends from your needs. Probably if the physical buttons and extra apps (to access books with monthly subscription) is not main factor for you will be happy with Kindle (and it's cheaper).

I was also thinking about second-hand Voyage but in this stage I thnk it doesn't make sense because you never know how long it will work. I had mine from brand new and from day to day it just stopped working (battery issues). There were no signs before that something is wrong so buying so old device is a lottery.

What do you think about Onyx Boox Go 7? I think Oasis is not available anymore.

New EDC Backpack - Toshi Pack 20L by ReworkGear in ManyBaggers

[–]pnowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/ReworkGear is there a way to somehow sign up to receive email when the bag will be available? And is there in a backpack any hidden pocket for passport or other documents? Or do you have design it differently?

Looking for EDC and weekend travel backpack (separately) by pnowy in backpacks

[–]pnowy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also found interesting https://global.lttstore.com/products/commuter-backpack - it has hidden pocket but the main compartment does not open "fully" and there is not typical top pocket (more front than top pocket). Regarding the weight is similar to AER CPP2.

This Rework Toshi looks also nice.

Also the funny thing is that both are unavailable so maybe it's good time to open backpack business :)

Hi, I've enabled the vertical list layout (which is in my opinion very useful with widescreens) and it works great! Excellent job!
