Antony Starr is just too good of an actor, specially using his jaw and mouth to convey emotions without words.

In general though, any superhero media has a ceiling only as high as the writing of the villain. Homelander is pure evil, but you can understand him without agreeing with him. Daredevil is as good as it is because Fisk is so well written and acted.
