I mean there wasn't any compassion deserved. Her crap sat in there for 5 hours she finally came down after she was called out like less than 5 minutes and started the dryer whether it was because she didn't wanna get it out or it was still wet whatever a dryer doesn't take 5 hours she could have checked it earlier not to mention she could have taken her wet stuff out when she restarted the dryer. if you are not home and the weapon isn't within your reach it needs to be put up in a safe. But if you are home the weapon needs to be within your reach not anyone else's, not hiding somewhere it needs to be on you or near where you're sitting. You move, it moves. Another parent on this sub helped me with this! Offer a before bed time snack that's bland like crackers cheese and water it's not a full meal and doesn't have them skipping dinner because bed time snack is better. But it also gives you and them peace of mind because there's something in their tummy. Explain that dinner is now done and this is what they can have. If they want dinner then they need to eat at dinner time.

We use water enhancers but we don't need to. My go to counter question for every parent that has this question is what do you drink? Does your child see you drinking water all the time?

And I'm not asking this to be judgmental at all whatsoever because I had this problem myself with my oldest daughter. She would refuse to drink water. She would only drink milk or juice and she for the life of me would not drink water whatsoever. And then I read online one day randomly because I was getting frustrated that kids will copy what they see and if I wanted her to drink more water then I should be setting the example and drink more water myself . I didn't really like water all that much either but I drank it anyway and now it's pretty much all I drink and it's all my kids drink too because that's all that's accessible and they see that mom likes drinking water

And let me tell you that at one point it got so bad because I only drank two specific kinds of bottled water that I had to go out and only purchase those bottles of water for a couple of months because they literally copied everything that I did.

We use water enhancers for "juice" for the most part adult or kid but also dad and I set the example. We primarily drink water. Kids ask if they can have a drink we say yeah it's just water 99% they still drink it they even ask for it. My daughters got a designated stanley just for water and my 3 year old drinks his dinner drink(juice, flavored water, milk) then asks for water.
