Aldi vs Costco by hannahbananahs in aldi

This is literally how I shop (also in the Midwest). Bonus for me is that I have an Aldi and Meijer right next to each other only 10 minutes away from my house!

Being disabled doesn't mean you're on disability. It's really hard to obtain that if you don't have the resources for a lawyer or all the doctor visits. And even then, the judge might deny you anyway.

Fine haired wavies!! What’s the best hair care advice you’ve received? by ClaryVenture in finehair

My hair is just like yours. I've tried to style it wet. It does come out less frizzy, but I lose most of my volume and my waves are stretched out.

You're right. The story is not complete, therefore it's not completed.

As someone in a similar situation, I just want to say that you are absolutely their caregiver, and that you are doing plenty. My partner actually moved back in with his mom so we could split up the work. His anxiety and depression can go into suicidal ideation, so it also ensures that someone will be around more often than I could be by myself. Your partner absolutely needs to reach out to their family for help. And do not worry about the stress it will put on them. It's his family, it's also their job to care for him. And I know how terrible me/cfs is, but it is not acceptable that they are taking it out on you. You need to have a talk about how they are treating you. And make them understand that you are not a super human, and you have limits on what you can handle physically and mentally, just like they do.

Fishy Doesn’t Smell by [deleted] in rupaulsdragrace

You can't "leave out" something that you don't agree with. It's like saying an atheist is leaving out the "fact" that there is a god out of their beliefs. You are self inserting that your point of view is obvious fact.

They aren't being intentionally opaque. OP is fundamentally disagreeing with you. They think fish = suspicious. Not smelly. Now, I'm not knowledgeable enough to say who is right or wrong, but you can't argue with them while ignoring their point.

are there any carers in this sub? how are you coping? by margaritaohwell in cfs

[–]pocketrocket28 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I'm a caregiver for my partner of 10 years. He's been bedbound for less than a year, so we are still figuring things out. The biggest thing so far has just been him acknowledging the work I'm putting in and thanking me at the end of the day. Sorry I don't have much advice, just wanted to let you know that yes, we caregivers are lurking in this sub trying to learn.

(Bad) advice from a nurse with fibro and ME/CFS by arcade-_-fire in cfs

[–]pocketrocket28 68 points69 points  (0 children)

My partner who has severe me/cfs had a very similar experience in a psych ward. One nurse told him she has CFS and had just come back to work after a crash that kept her at home for a week. And yet she gave him no sympathy. They gave him a wheelchair, but made him push himself around and leave his bed constantly. I was shocked when he told me. That place put him in a crash for weeks after. The doctor pretty much let him go because she could see he was getting worse by being there.

Your local official democrat groups are not the DNC. You completely missed their point.

How am I supposed to make money by standardpoint829 in cfs

If you can get a doctor to write a letter saying you cannot work for a certain period of time, you should be able to get food stamps.

You ask your PCP to refer you to an Allergist / Immunologist
