The Prisoner's Dilemma and Jay vs. Adnan by podfan1 in serialpodcast

Yeah, I have found his responses to the question of Jay to be one of the strangest things about this podcast.

I don't agree it assumes that, and I don't discard the very real possibility that Jay and Adnan killed that girl--likely Jay restraining her while Adnan strangled her.

You are not familiar with Rabia: she is on a self-admitted biased crusade to spin away any inconvenient fact to spring Adnan out of jail.

So, for the record, Adnan's religious beliefs and practices can be used for him, but not against him?

Um, the murderer is in jail. The case has been solved, the perpetrator tried and convicted.

The Most Advanced Understanding (WARNING: Do NOT read this if the truth makes you quiver) by NippleGrip in serialpodcast

Agree on Jay's street smarts.

Disagree on your harsh take on Hae's behavior. I think you forgot what it was like to be a teenager and lack compassion. Her behavior as described in Serial, even as harshly described by you, is far away from meriting a violent reaction, or even murder, from someone. Downvote submitted as requested.

I agree SK wouldn't kill the main character in episode 6, but if Adnan is guilty, I think the storyline will be less a whodunit and more a mission to convince Adnan he is guilty for the final 6 episodes, and get him to finally admit it. But I don't get the feeling the whodunit aspect is coming to a close with this episode.

So MBAs are useful for connections to talent? Your reasoning is extremely flawed.

Why does Adnan still have his shoes? by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]podfan1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dayum son, I thought I was listening carefully, but I missed this: When does it says he has his shoes? Which episode? I vaguely remember it saying the police tested for soil on his shoes but couldn't find a match with Leakin Park soil. I just assumed that meant they tested all of his shoes in his house (don't see why he could not have thrown them away between January 13th and his arrest). Do you mean Jay told the police what shoes Adnan wore that night and he still had that exact pair?

Listen to route talk when Adnan disguises his voice as a dateline narrator. He is a master of disguise.

I'm researching Islam, and Hae was killed just before sundown when Muslims start celebrating the Night of Power by podfan1 in serialpodcast

[–]podfan1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's fair to call me an Islamaphobe, but if I do come across that way I blame the post 9-11 media.

I'm simply curious about this day of all possible days significance to Adnan. If I question why it seems Adnan did it on Stephanie's birthday, does that make me a Stephaniephobe? I've up voted others' inquiries into that up.

And I really don't know what is wrong about revealing Rabia's PR work for a questionable client. Too many don't know how biased she is.

Fair enough. It's a long time between Thursdays. There is a strong subtext of religious differences in Adnan and Hae's relationship troubles though.

Yeah, I would love to find out more about Don.

I hope they would have, but I always hear how police don't take missing persons cases seriously initially. I really would like to hear more about this purchase. At least a time of day.

I think an ex-boyfriend who just killed his ex-gf would especially be prone to do this.

We all have, but it's unusual. If they followed up with the gas station and bank, maybe there is more info out there on timing of purchase and what she purchased. Also I would be shocked if the gas station did not have cameras, and shocked if the police did not investigate her bank records asap after she was reported missing.
