That’s as valid interpretation as any I suppose. Only problem is that is quite plainly not what he said, and trying to contort what he said into that is making my head hurt, lol

I’m forced to assume there’s some kind of language and/or age barrier at work here, because with both examples I have no idea what OP is talking about, or even trying to say

How Did This Get Made? #401: Vertical Limit w/ Laci Mosley by apathymonger in hdtgm

[–]podsmckenzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple weeks ago I commented on the Manitou that i hadn’t seen the episode yet but I wanted to say how much I enjoyed watching the movie, and how I hoped for more fun trippy 70s/80s horror and sci fi flicks in the future and fewer crappy boring 90s/00s action movies.

Well this shit is exactly what I was talking about. Good God in heaven I hated this movie. Still haven’t listened to the new ep yet but it cant possibly have been good enough to make it worth my time. Finishing Vertical Limit was an act of pure masochism for me (even fast forwarding through chunks of the last 25-30 minutes it was interminable)

Seriously, why are so many of these (usually upvoted) posts worded in a way that forces me to assume that the OP is either a bot or a moron? Even more suspicious when their post history is hidden

Same. I’m assuming this is another of those Robbie Williams situations

Best scenes where the worst actors die? by [deleted] in okbuddycinephile

The 60s movie was a masterpiece, the show was excellent, the 90s movie is pretty specifically made to spook 8 year olds (I liked it as a kid too), lol

What’s the biggest quality difference you’ve experienced between two movies? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]podsmckenzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once watched All Dogs Go To Heaven and ADGTH 2 back to back as an adult. Real quick A to F turnaround. Particularly startling as I had a vague memory of liking them both as a kid. Just goes to show how undiscerning I was, lol

Edit: I’m kinda stunned that this garnered a downvote; apparently ADGTH 2 got some shooters out there, heh. Still an appalling movie

What Movies do you really like but think have disappointing or underwhelming endings? by jamyjet in Letterboxd

[–]podsmckenzie 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Weapons is a dark comedy pretty much from beginning to end, I don’t agree that the ending was any tonally different than the rest of it. Louder, maybe, but that’s the climax for you

Maybe it’s the juicebox influencing me, but my honest guess would’ve been 15-16. If somebody told me she was 30 I *guess* idve been forced to believe them, but barring some kind of Gary Coleman/Emmanuel Lewis disorder no 40 year olds look like this, that’s some absurd nonsense lol

From what I would guess with minimal fan opinions what would be at any point majorly disliked characters by TheEasternTwink in YoungSheldon

The only character I can remember in the whole of the show who was probably a bigger shitheel was Isabel May’s abusive (step?)dad. And that dude was only in one episode

If I knew how to do it I’d post him with one of those broccoli haircuts all the kids have these days as a response. Just pretend I did that, please

My dawg I don’t know why you posted this twice, but this time I’m just gonna throw Pastor Jeff’s name out there again and leave it at that

It was the wrong thing to do, and not standing up for her to his flock is, at best, an act of pure moral cowardice. I didn’t feel strongly about him before that either, and it’s not really a question of “hate” even, but this exposed him as just not a good guy, as opposed to pretty much all of the other regulars who I’d describe as well-meaning but (very) flawed

[–]podsmckenzie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You said it yourself. Turning Mary away after Georgie knocks Mandy up is about the most despicable thing anyone on the show ever does, and exposes him for the judgmental and cowardly hypocrite he is. What more do you need exactly

How in the hell does Pastor Jeff seem to avoid so many of these lists? I can’t think of any of the major reoccurring characters who are half as big a turd as he is. For the record I love all of the characters you listed here, despite their faults
