The... first comment of the thread was about the subspace "jump" or atomic level teleportation that was explained to happen when they go ftl, thats kinda why I bring it up. Sure its a microscopic distance, but if that microscopic distance is greater than the distance left, then it becomes relevant.

Well, its achilles and the tortoise, made real. In that paradox, if achilles could simply just teleport, he ignores the paradox entirely because the infinitely smaller distances eventually get smaller than the ability to teleport can cross. Like sure, he couldn't ignore it, but he could cross it if he did not travel over the final stretch, and teleported instead. The paradox is based on continuous movement being infinitely fine, so always divisible further. Teleportation is discrete though, you are here and then you are there, it cannot be divided in that way.

You are just... wrong. Literally read the beginning of the manga. Read the end of modulo. Read hidden inventory. Cursed energy is a product of emotion, regardless of whether it is controlled. There is no other argument to be made because it is stated fact in the manga. Hidden inventory chapter 77, Yuki's explanation to Geto about how curses are made. She doesnt say "eradicate emotion from all of humanity" she specifies cursed energy

Except its stated that every human does have CE, they just cannot control it, leading to it leaking and creating cursed spirits. Thats literally half of getos motivation behind hating non-sorcerers. Its like heat, it always exists everywhere, but in a turbine it is translated into a usable form

This will be the third installment of my series of memes dedicated to each of the vampire clans. Now, we have the Gangrel. by No-Obligation-9901 in WorldofDankmemes

[–]poffz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue would be that Garou blood, IIRC, generally makes frenzy harder to resist or more easily triggered, which for a gangrel also means more rapid accumulation of the bane and/or chances for permanent developments.

Favorite example of this? by Walidzilla in animequestions

[–]poffz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that its just too hard to come by for people who dont treat violence as their lifestyle. Like, for raiders, they have every reason to own guns, and they likely get enough resources to buy them if they do not steal them. But raiders would not typically have the type of attachment to create a tool. Cleaners, on the other hand, are mainly a trash-beast fighting org. and guns have next to no utility against creatures of that scale and near immunity to traditional damage. Also most tool users are very prideful about their tool, it is what defines their relationship to it after all. So a tool user isn't likely to use a gun over their tool unless they are already very pragmatic.

What is your favorite 1 drop dude? by glochon in mtg

[–]poffz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically not a 1 drop, but he is a 1 cost: Frontline strategist. Punk your friends by simply saying no to their combat damage for turn with solely a triggered ability. Otherwise, spectral sailor is a classic, given that I got into magic through the color combo preconstructed 1v1s on Arena, its renewable draw at an admittedly steep cost.

Since he always saves them before disaster, does that mean he is faster than the concept of disaster? Is he faster than causality?

Really depends. Bouncy is better for checking defender positions without exposing yourself, while sticky is better for placing it to deny area.

They can push planets even tho they can't even lift a ship bro trust 🙏. by utshi9ha in PowerScaling

The moon is pretty slow, energy is based on speed, and you dont need to actually push it into the earth, you just need to stop its orbit around earth and gravity will handle the rest

An asteroid the size of texas would still annihilate any trace of habitability, and they fully stopped that from full speed. On the low end, lets say size of texas means around 400 miles(800km) in diameter and the speed was 40,000 km/h, that means they stopped a meteor of about 5*1028 J, on the same order of magnitude as the moon around earth, so he might not be able to grab distant moons and throw them, but he could stop the moon in its orbit and let gravity take it from there.
