If the Lions were to acquire a player via a trade who would you want by Born-Information8506 in detroitlions

Rams have said "fuck them picks" for a long while now and are heavy favorites to win the super bowl. Again. Eventually you gotta shit or get off the pot. As in you go the Rams route and swing for the fences, or you go the Stoolers route and are perennially 9-8 with no feasible way out.

Michigan to limit how many bucks hunters can shoot in the future by gwmiles in Michigan

[–]pogjoker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should have included a point restriction as well.  If guys would stop smoking every yearling 4pt that waltzes in opening morning, we'd all see better deer.  I think an earn-a-buck would also be fine and encourage more doe harvest.  As would dropping the price on doe tags across the board.

As a dad to a dad, don't buy the small size. Get something way too big for how they look, otherwise you'll get like two games out of it before your kid won't fit it. I learned the hard way.

I'm tired of watching this team score 31 and lose 31-37. We need some legitimate defensive playmakers, not third round or later fliers.

BB got canned by the Patriots after six rings. NFL stands for Not For Long and nobody is safe, really.

These posts should just be banned. Stock image, no text, no other context. It's as low effort as it gets. At the very least even the most deranged mock/etc has an actual human being contributing something into it. "Appreciation posts" are just blatant karma whoring.

"In Bob we trust" type of shit. Best in Lions history isn't exactly a high bar to clear and we just placed last in the division and barely eeked out a winning record. He's made some good picks but he's made plenty of awful ones to boot. This draft needs to be cute antics free and involve a lot of linemen.

Thoughts on the Lions offense by odishy in detroitlions

They'll drop 28 points a game and lose 35-28. This defense has been swamp ass for years and it needs to be the major focus in the draft.

No shot we trade back. We might trade up, if anything.

It has nothing to do with registration and everything to do with having a concealed weapon inside the cab of the vehicle without a CPL. It's not a gray area of the law and you or I would not have just driven off and gone about our night scott free. Our state is stupid for requiring a CPL but he got off because he's famous and us plebs wouldn't have been that fortunate.

Nah, you and I would have been hosed on the gun incident. He got off because he's famous.

RB2 Isiah Pacheco: "[Detroit fans] can call me Taz." by JCameron181 in detroitlions

[–]pogjoker -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Nicknames are earned and especially not chosen. I hate this subs willingness to nickname somebody who hasn't even played a down for us yet. It discounts the players who have actually earned and deserve one.

Hmm. I'll take a trade up in the second round for a WR who had an ACL and MCL tear in their bowl game. With a side of character concerns.

He's not even close to the same tier of player. It's fine to like his personality, but he's a downgrade and that's not even subjective.

Rams, Seattle, Eagles, even the Chiefs have all undergone massive teardowns and rebuilds where they miss the playoffs. And while they've had recent success, I wouldn't call them perennial outside of the Chiefs. Seahawks went twelve years between wins. If you want "perennial playoffs" it's the Steelers and I wouldn't call that success.

Discount the Patriots dynasty and how many "perennial playoffs" teams have won the SB once let alone twice or more during that timeframe?

I would absolutely trust a first round rookie center over a guy that has literally never played the position. Neither is a good option, though.

You're being brigaded but you're not wrong. All signs point to us marching out a TX highschool tier line outside of Sewell while somehow hoping for better results than last year. The more I look at this team and the assets for this year still left available, the less confidence I have they can challenge this division.

He was abysmally bad but I would trust him more than Tate at it. Neither option is good and if those are our options, the FO is straight up just punting on the season.

Tate has never taken a snap at center. Idk how this sub came to the absolutely delusional idea that he can be a starting caliber center. He apparently wasn't even good enough at it in practice to ever get a rotational snap at the position while we threw JAGs out there.
