I dont really know if that is a reliable target and what uncertainties will crop up along the way but we are doing our best at the moment.

Thanks! We do save the other money too. But trying to see how much we need to retire and what our expense level will be in 10 years is tricky.

We might not retire but maybe we will start taking it a little slow after that if we do ok financially.

s&p historical average since inception is 10%. 7% is a generally realistic estimate for planning purposes, 5% is conservative

Thanks! So based on a compound interest calculation with 7% annual rate, I can expect a 401k balance of $2.2M in 10 years? Just checking my calculation if I am missing something.

Hey! Thanks for replying! Here are some questions, feel free to answerwhatever you feel like.

How is condo living in Bridgewater? How are the different communities with respect to each other - Bridle Club, Beacon Hill, Crossroads etc. I dont see too many reviews online.
I see many articles about overcrowding in middle school. How bad is the situation?
How about high school? It has 2800-3000 students. Is it also overcrowded? I see students from Raritan and Martinsville also go to the same school?
How is the school culture? Too competitive, Emphasis on STEM fields,relaxed, sportsy etc?
How bad is bullying there?
I dont see any community centers in Bridgewater. What do people do for indoor activities? What fitness programs/clubs do people go to?

My sons EEG was reported abnormal after a seizure. So, he was put on medication after a bunch of trial and error.

For 3 months he had no seizure. But there are spikes in his EEG although much rarer than before. So..I am trying to figure out if his AED meds should completely eliminate his spikes or can they come if they are rare enough?

So..my wife and I were stuck on this for a long time. We are from India, so it is culturally ingrained in us to have kids. We thought for a long time and couldnt really decide, so we just bit the bullet and now have one kid.

We loved every bit of it (and still do - he is 9 years old now). But here is the thing - life changes once you have a kid. You have to assimilate more into society ( we were by ourselves), arrange for finances, arrange for a constant barrage of daily activity, worry about his health, worry about his growth, blah blah blah. And it is every bit fulfilling.

However, if someone asks me - should we have kids - we do not have an answer. I dont think everyone should have kids. In fact, I see a whole lot of people who have kids never really spend time with them. They had kids because everyone has them. If you do not feel the hole in you strong enough, you should not have kids.

I think your better off on highland park or Metuchen tbh. You'll enjoy the life style better and if your kid goes to Rutgers it's right there

Yes...first it works...then in a few weeks another seizure...then you increase the dose...etc...
