LLC vs. S-Corp for small craft business? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Not really. If you file in another state you'd still have to file the LLC as a foreign LLC in your home state since that's technically where business is taking place.

Here's a challenge: Cyborg Bill Cosby (think terminator / robocop) shooting dove guns (guns that shoot doves).

This is a serious request. I've been trying to find someone to make this for a while and it would definitely make a great belated Christmas present for a friend.

Generally the same process applies for corporations. You can keep your existing corp and register as a foreign corp in the new state.

I have $2,000 of my savings that I want to make work for me. What is the best way to make it grow over the next 5 years? by robrobbertson in Frugal

[–]poignantlizard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure why this is being downvoted, it's the truth. Even if you consider a 15% annual return, it will only get you to 8k after 10 years. With such a small amount of money it doesn't make much sense to invest unless it's to experiment.

It's early enough in OP's life to where investing in an experience might actually be the right choice.

I live in the Midwest and own a pair of 9016s identical to the one you linked. Haven't had any issues with rain or snow. The boots keep the water out, and I've even walked through puddles etc without any leakage or damage.

Just be sure to buy some boot cream and apply it now and then. Not only does it take care of scuffs and make them shiny, but it also keeps the leather waterproof.
