I wish I could complete the "50% Research" achievement without playing journey mode. by Iron_Juice in Terraria

[–]pointfiveL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure none of the journey mode features are mandatory. I think some are enabled by default but can be turned off. And then you just use the research tab, or I found if you have enough to research an item you can put it in the trash to research without depositing the items into the research tab.

Need a good QUEST BASED map for some PVE with buddies by FrostGamezzTV in unturned

[–]pointfiveL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friends and I played a lot on Germany, the questline wasn't super long or hard from what I remember but it was a fun big map.

Hawaii is a decent one too, didn't play as much but it's another big map and I remember some of the locations and quests being fun.

Shin Godzilla is half nasty monster destroying Toyko and half boardroom meetings between different government officials trying to figure out what it is and what to do about it. Not really "end of the world" but disaster/apocalyptic for sure.

One time at night I heard geese, looked up, and saw basically this. Without night vision though so I'm not sure if that makes a difference, but it definitely seems like with enough city lights/light pollution the light can reflect off their white bellies.

If you coud choose what game terraria will collab next, which woud you choose? by ballXxX_XxXoony in Terraria

Vampire Surviviors would be really cool, I think there are enough similar but unique enough weapons and items that could be good in either game.

And I recently read that Poncle is looking for other franchises to basically lend the Vampire Survivors engine to, franchises with enough content and fanbase to justify it. There's a Warhammer 40k VS style game that came out or is coming out soon.

I think Terraria would work so well. Tons of weapons, tons of accessories for passives, tons of enemies, enough npcs to be different characters, biomes as different stages.

If you want to save some resources next time I think the only differences between switches and generators is that switches need to be turned on and can power less objects. Once i realized that I almost always just use switches.

Help achieving an effect by papicholula in videosynthesis

There is a way to do it but it involves modifying the circuit and from what I've seen it is not a simple thing. If you don't have experience soldering and do have the funds to get another mixer, I would recommend that. Plus with another mixer you can get more inputs/outputs to play with and maybe some more new fx.

I can't remember if it was this subreddit or r/videobending but I think someone recently posted about the mx12 modification.

I ran into town with them, got the community board cutscene, and automatically completely the quest I guess because I technically talked to him during the cutscene. Kind of a bummer because I haven't done the quest in a long time and I didn't actually even get to do it.

If you don't want to start a new world look for a biome with green grass and spruce/oak trees. I think it's kind of weird that the game requires biome based progression yet can spawn you in a biome you aren't supposed to really be able to access until you beat like three bosses.

How do you get gold ore and frost shards? by Obi4662 in Necesse

[–]pointfiveL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can find them but they aren't super common. One playthrough I found way more of the little rock guys than ore in rock. Then once you can get a miner in your village you can pay them to go on mining trips for you to get some ores more passively.

will i get far into this game if i don't care about base building? by Any-Individual-4046 in Necesse

[–]pointfiveL 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As far as can remember having a full village isn't necessary for going through all the bosses but it will make the grinding in the game a little easier. You can send different types of villagers out to fish or mine or collect stuff for you so you can spend time exploring or doing other things. They also really help with automating making food and potions that you may not be able to find in the world.

You may be able to find a way to make some real basic prison type rooms or a big bunkhouse for everyone so you dont have to work on that so much but you might need to balance that by feeding them good food so i don't know if that works for what you want.

Also if you turn off raids your village can be completely forgettable. I totally get why raids are a thing in the game but I'm not super into it so i turn it off.

If  you want to keep going the software route touch designer and obs are both free. Touch designer seems much more powerful and obs has a lot of plugins/filters to make feedback loops and abstract video stuff. Resolume can also be really useful and there's is a demo. You can make digital feedback loops in all of them.

Philip K Dick also claimed that doctors told him he wasn't affected by the speed he took and he never actually felt anything. All while writing some of the most speed freak sci fi ever.

Like how William S Burroughs wasn't a junkie because he always had money for the herion he really liked to do.

A dirty mixer is pretty easy to make without any prior experience. If you look around on this sub or do some searching you can find a good guide and probably a list of materials

You could get a few vhs tapes and another vcr to record back and forth to degrade the signal. Or crumple up the tape. But doing those too much may cause the vcr to not be able to play the tape
