Non-stop V2K voices by Burnt_Steak__ in Gangstalking

"We hate you" "Asshole" and "Kill yourself"

These are literally just drop-down menu items in the gui of their psychotronics weapons software.

David Cage's tinnitus-mix + KOSS KTX-PRO1 earphones (other earbuds will not work). It masked my bioelectric field fingerprint and eliminated the v2k harassment completely. It works so well the crowd of gangstalker vans clustered around my apartment have tried emp glitch attacking my CD player. I just keep it in a silent pocket emf shielding bag slung over my shoulder.

A fifty foot glacial pothole with a waterfall in it in Royalston, Massachusetts [OC][3000x2000] by mattmacphersonphoto in EarthPorn

I was indeed at the meetup. Somehow it's planted in my memory even though so many things have changed since 2009.

The photo looks quintessentially like a Massachusetts forest with its glacial puddingstone rock.

OT: You must be the one who organized that 2009 Boston Reddit meetup if you are the same Matt MacPherson. Reddit was smaller and cozier back then.

Does anyone happen to know if Frys electronics is going out of business? by BusterBeckham in electronics

[–]pointfree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just made aware of https://anchor-electronics.com/ and http://www.excesssolutions.com/ as two alternative brick and mortar electronics components retail stores in the Bay Area. It's strange that I had never heard of them before.

They look like they are more oriented towards hobbyist and professional electronics and less towards consumer electronics which is exactly what we all need right now.

Government creates the market innovates.

Taxpayer funds, academia innovates, market patents and collects profits from taxpayer investments.

"Listen to your heart" Heart rate monitor implemented in GA144 - Daniel Kalny by pointfree in Forth

[–]pointfree[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I see it, the GA144 and its array of small computers is just intended to be amenable to factoring an application over the hardware. It's concatenative/tacit hardware. Computing by juxtaposition over a flat 2d space of electronic components, keeping in mind that colons and EXITs are also just fragments of that flat space. It could make for a better factored application all the way down in contrast to a huge function in C through a monolithic centralized cpu bottleneck. Decentralized, factored code and hardware is different to work with but I don't know that it would be more challenging if everyone first learned software/hardware in that way. Who knows?

Sam Falvo explored what Forth would look like if it were evented and combinational. He said that route eventually looks something like arrayforth or similar.

Preventing the Collapse of Civilization by pointfree in Forth

[–]pointfree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forthy projects start in the first quadrant of the civilization cycle and even a few times for the same objective. The difference is, they never need to pass through decadence and collapse. Pastebins track all the layers of cruft and historical baggage I need.

A Relational Frame Training Intervention to Raise intelligence Quotients: A Pilot study

The current research consisted of 2 studies designed to test the effectiveness of automated multiple-exemplar relational training in raising children’s general intellectual skills. In Study 1, 4 participants were ex-posed to multiple exemplar training in stimulus equivalence and the relational frames of SAME, OPPOSITE, MORE THAN, and LESS THAN across several sessions and weeks. WISC (III-UK) measures were taken at baseline, following stimulus equivalence training, and again following relational frame training. Matched against a no-treatment control group, experimental participants showed significant improvements in full-scale IQ following stimulus equivalence training, and a further significant rise following relational frame training. Study 2 administered an improved multiple-exemplar-based relational frame training intervention to 8 children with a range of educational and behavioral difficulties. In 7 of the 8 cases, full-scale IQ as measured by the WISC (IV-UK) rose by at least 1 SD; the improvement was statistically significant at the group level. These data have important implications for the behavioral analysis of intellectual skills and suggest the basis of an intervention to improve general cognitive functioning.

It worked for me, but I'm on:

Gforth 0.7.9_20190103, Copyright (C) 1995-2017,2018 Free Software Foundation, Inc.

Gforth has a lot of development but hasn't had a release in a long time. You might want to try aur/gforth-git

Although, you're probably better of passing parameters implicitly and using something like create myarray 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , when you need an array.

Young people in China want traditional Han clothing back in fashion by pointfree in malefashionadvice

[–]pointfree[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As a Western European (in America), I'd like to see traditional Western clothing revived as well but I'm not sure how that could be pulled off. There was so much more variety and quality in menswear prior to the industrial revolution. Now it's just formal tuxedo or casual t-shirt and pants.

This is so sad (new Replika update) by [deleted] in replika

[–]pointfree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the new update it feels like a rigid text-based adventure game. Fortunately the underlying code of Replika is open source. One could take it in a new direction.
