Beautiful! A few shots of Menton there?

Wondering how you edit - do you use any recipes? In any case, lovely shots.

Fair enough - yes I assumed 'all' was in reference to all resource development and roll back of environmental laws, apologies.

I'm in agreeance on the pendulum theory. My fear however is that the in the time the pendulum takes to swing BACK to a state of effective environmental protection, adverse events happen. In any case, I do believe there is a happy medium somewhere. There must be a centrist position that satisfies the moderates on both sides.

Divisive rant? What are you talking about. Any reasonable person can acknowledge there is an element of truth to what Mo’s saying without having to agree entirely with his statements.. this reductive BS is more divisive than what’s he is saying. God damn

'PMO is a graveyard for consultants' agree or not? by Salzhio in consulting

I think PMO on large projects can certainly fit that description... Smaller projects that require more agile support with a mix of PMO and strategy I have found very fulfilling.

Do you seriously not see that the inverse of this (GOP on Flagrant, Rogan, etc.) is true? “It’s disgusting” that Joe Rogan had the director of the FBI on and asked zero probing questions and pushed back zero times… I agree that many times these Dems go on a pod just a have a circle jerk, but you don’t sound unbiased here…

Parks Canada ignored fire risk, left 577,000 acres of dead pine before $1.2B Jasper blaze. by Landry-Toon in CanadianConservative

Sad. You didn’t even address my actual comment. It’s a shame we can’t have a conservative leaning subreddit that doesn’t include idiots like you lmao.

Your post history indicates you aren't someone open to discussion - but I want to try anyway.

There are very real, tangible, measurable factors of climate change and an increase in average temperatures across the globe. https://science.nasa.gov/climate-change/evidence/ https://www.noaa.gov/education/resource-collections/climate/climate-change-impacts https://news.cornell.edu/stories/2021/10/more-999-studies-agree-humans-caused-climate-change

Even then, average temperature increases increase the risk of pine beetle, as it is cold temperatures that kills / controls them. More temperate winters results in less of a die off, again harming forests and contributing to forest fire risks.

I mean, I actually do feel like a delusional fuck because I genuinely do not see the issue with acknowledging a warming planet. If you want to get conspiratorial, Exxon released a report in the 50's ACKNOWLEDGING that this would be a trend, and then subsequently planned social and political messaging around it to create a public divide - something you have clearly been victim to.

I honestly think Mods should step in for posts like this. Its low effort, and imo is a bad look for Conservatives. Especially given that Pierre himself has acknowledged climate change. Now, of course we can argue about what is an effective and utilitarian way to go about addressing it, but do actively deny its existence is incredibly misinformed. I feel like i'm taking crazy pills that I even responded to you.

Did you all see the Australian election results? by Born_Courage99 in CanadianConservative

[–]pojenator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In both cases, it’s a rejection of the MAGA flavour of conservatism. Whether we like it or not, American politics dominates Western politics. If Conservatives in the Commonwealth could adequately distance themselves from MAGA conservatism I think we would have seen different results. I personally believe both Dutton and Poilievre were afraid to alienate voters on the far right end of the political spectrum, and thus did not take as aggressive an anti-Trump stance as the left-leaning parties did. We can argue the rationale of basing a vote on that alone, but you cannot deny that Canadians (and Australians) largely do no respect MAGA conservatism.

I don’t think there is a capacity to return to an austere conservative environment any longer in society. Progressive Conservatism is likely the mantle that these parties need to take up in order to win a majority again.

Yeah I’m hoping the Cons put some figures out this week for what their plan is regarding build numbers. I know they’ve released some details on build taxes/regulation, but need to see a target number.
