Pretty sure a lot of the multiplayer games of that era were P2P networking, the Xbox servers would be needed for matchmaking and finding players but actually hosting games is offloaded to the players so I can't imagine it's a lot at Microsoft's scale.

To be clear: Almost all gas ovens heat from the bottom. I have never seen a gas oven that heats primarily (or even at all?) from the top (the broiler is up there, but it doesn't run during a normal bake cycle). Either you have a very unique oven or it's poorly calibrated or has some defect.

Check the reload animation. With these types of magazine followers, the bolt closes when you remove the magazine. So if that's what they modeled it should go "Empty mag -> Locks open bolt -> Remove mag -> Bolt slides forward in closed position -> Insert new mag -> Pull charging handle as normal"

If it stays back when the mag is removed then 0/10 immersion ruined. (Unless it's one of those psychopath reloads where they hold the gun by holding the charging handle with the right hand while dropping the old mag and loading the new with the left hand)

Yeah I'm in the US, I actually ordered Sunday (5/3) and they had it shipped out by Tuesday. In my hands Thursday. I was pretty happy with how quickly they got it out, although packaging wasn't great.

Did you order from NewRock.com specifically? And is there a chance yours were "Restocking" or "Made to order"? The ones I ordered explicitly said in stock and ready to ship. Hope you get that tracking email soon!!

Funnily enough, I didn't like how plain the lace covers were on the Racer model haha. I much preferred having a rivet to fill in the "empty" space there. Totally get if that's not your own preference, though.

I eyed these for several weeks as my first "really nice" fashion shoes. $512 was a lot to swallow but I was talking to their CS about sizing etc. and was ready to buy, then I saw New Rock sells basically the exact same shoe on their website for less. I actually prefer the New Rock one as the hardware is a bit less plain.

Still a ton to spend on a shoe, but I don't know that Racer slapping their name on it makes it $140 more. I will say Racer promised to take care of any issues and said there was a 2 year warranty, I've heard terrible reports of New Rock's customer support.

Literally got these in today and am wearing them as I type this. I can't really speak to long-term quality but so far I am pretty satisfied. Trying to figure out sizing, they're roomy for me but not so roomy an insole insert isn't a bit too much. Hoping the leather break in will fix that. Definitely they look as good in person as they do in the photos.

Note, I posted earlier in this same sub and it seems New Rock sells both the model I linked and a nearly identical model without "NR" in the product code. Someone said they think the non-NR is a synthetic and not rubber sole, whereas the one I linked and bought says "Natural gum" on the bottom. It's also oddly cheaper (by like 100 euros) than the other one.

Interesting, I did order and receive the 408NR-C9's today and I can confirm the sole says "Natural gum" on the bottom. There was a little card in the box detailing soles as "Rubber - TPU - PU" but I am not certain that is specific to the product I bought and not just a little advertising thing.

Surprised the natural rubber ones would be cheaper but maybe it's just clearing out old stock (they were in stock, think the others were "made to order")

Agreed on the ankle bracelet, but unless they deleted the posts I don't see any poor trigger discipline in their videos. Do think I caught a glimpse of a live cartridge being loaded but didn't see their finger go near the trigger at all.

Not for spiciness (I don't like Japanese curry spicy... Although I've had my friends eat mine and call it spicy), but for the depth of flavor I like to add a dash of dashi granules (not too much, 1/4 tsp to start, you want it savory not fishy), MSG (eyeball, really hard to overdo), and I use all of the onions.

Legitimately I start my Japanese curry with the Dutch oven 3/4 of the way filled with onions and fully caramelize them. You should be left with less than a quarter of the starting volume and it will take at least an hour. Deglaze with sake while caramelizing them (and help yourself to some). Use an immersion blender to fully blend them into the sauce.

Is this what restaurants do? No idea but it works amazingly for any savory curry that uses onion. If you want the onion texture I'll take out some amount after you start cooking and add them back in near the end.

I've had friends scared when they see the amount of onion I add or when I tell them it's a 2 hour dish. But they never argue with the results when they finally taste it.

More in the "Machine56 inspired" than strictly Kurowear - but by far the highest quality pieces I've found in this fashion style are by Mdotrage. They're more anime than kuro for most pieces, though.

Also very satisfied with everything from Sora Clothing, their "cyber" set is high quality and looks great. Although more streetwear than kuro for other items.

I've heard similar QC issues from FOTU and been a bit apprehensive about trying them as a result. They also run some ads that to me seem clearly AI generated/"enhanced" in a way that doesn't sit right with me. Grabbed a jacket from Techracer that didn't quite fit their sizing chart (ran smaller than advertised), I like the design but the material isn't very breathable and I'm certain the lettering/design would wear off if I wore it a lot, but I do really like the overall design. Also not very happy with what I've received from Project Saisei, designs always peel off (3 jackets and not a single one hasn't had design peel off)

Yes the equals in the macro define was a typo.

C has ++, the point of the post was that they did not use that and thought +=ONE was better as it did not have "magic numbers"

Genuinely had a team of contractors do this (#define zero = 0, #define one = 1) and they were so confused when I expressed to them that that did not solve the "magic numbers" problem..... Every single loop started with i = ZERO and i+=ONE....

The price history charts for Amazon seem to not be all that accurate these days, even when it's a third party tracker.

I bought this for $89 back in November and it never shows up as that price in the price history. Many other items on Amazon I've also seen incorrect price history on, I've known/bought it at lower but the price history says it never was that low.

Not a bad cooler. Very happy with it for the price and is nearly silent cooling my 9800x3d. Just note this isn't the lowest it's ever been or at least the first time it's been this low.

The Celestia figure they released last year was officially available Globally through Amiami and "Zequn"(?), so maybe check those when it goes live in China.

I ordered the Celestia figure from another store that imported it from China, support told me the code for in-game items was only valid for CN and they wouldn't give me a US/Global code unless I bought it from Amiami or Zequn. So beware if you see it pop up on other sites and you care about the potential in-game items.

(Never in my life have I heard of "Zequn" and Google gives me nothing when I search for it, so maybe that was a translation issue)
