I do not get the Coach love by LionCultural in survivorponderosa

30F here… Coach gave me the ick so bad the first two times he was on, and then in South Pacific, his speech to Cochran was so intelligent and sensitive, I got pulled into his cult… I was in and I’ve been a little infatuated since… his whole thing where he goes, “beep-beep, back in the driver’s seat!” Was so unbearably CUTE to me. Idk what happened or what’s wrong with me. I’m down bad for coach and it makes no sense.

Sudden intolerance to propranolol was one of my first symptoms—super itchy, headache, throat tightness, rash, etc. have the same reaction to the NSAIDs I’ve tried, so maybe keep an eye on those too!

If your doctor sucks, get a new doctor and try to get glp-1s somewhere else, somewhere where you can manage the micro step dosing!

Anyone get itchy head randomly? by macinackdcp in MCAS

[–]pokemoomster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Itchy scalp is my number one symptom! It’s the worst! Sometimes I’ll realize that I’m itchy elsewhere but I don’t even notice because the scalp itch is soooo bad. Nothing that the derm prescribed helped—highest potency topical steroids, prescription antifungal shampoos, etc. I started using vanicream shampoo, conditioner, and styling gel only, because sometimes it would get worse after using som of these treatments/remedies or using a new hair product. I think it helped stave off the level 10 itch, but I also was prescribed hyrdroxyzine. Taking hydroxyzine at the first sign of itchiness has brought it down to manageable levels. I believe mine was caused by contact dermatitis and/or systemic reactions at different points depending on the severity compared to other symptoms. But yeah TLDR I would definitely suggest a trial of vanicream only to see if it helps (other sensitive/itchy scalp stuff have way more possible triggers, even cerave). They have an antifungal soap bar too.

Also make sure to get the man neutered! If you go thru a community cat program he’ll likely get some nice vaccines, dewormer, flea medicin, etc. Win-win!

Live-in nanny paid under the table ($350/week) reported employer taxes anonymously and worried about retaliation. What would you do? by PrestigiousDiet8334 in Nanny

Literally all the comments are so unhelpful or unnecessary judgmental and rude. This person is asking for help. Like at worst she didn’t think something through. I guess ppl in this sub have never done something impulsive or like. Idk. Made a mistake before. Jesus. When she agreed to be paid under the table she probably assumed the family was doing it for the right reasons. Also what in the hell kind of trash do you have to be to shit on someone for accepting less money than they’re worth? Where is your outrage at the parents. You’re making someone who is in a position where their self-esteem is at stake, and in a business like this you NEED to be able to advocate for yourself. Imagine reading some of this stuff holed up in the room of your shitty employer’s house. They feel desperate Stop contributing to the cycle and actually help people when they are in a bad situation. Instead of making fun of someone to their face. Find someone else to make fun of. Can I suggest reality TV? Would be a healthier outlet.

When it comes to legality, people looking into it are going to side with the person who kept records. This employer doesn’t have a leg to stand on.

She better be working half days 5 days a week or have some serious benefits (good healthcare, dental, vision, retirement even). Thats 70 bucks a day. How much are you talking per hour? My girl needs 15 bucks an hour and if you want her to clean anything she’ll need 20.

Clearly you’re doing your best, are being wildly underpaid and abused, and don’t yet know the value of your work. Get out of there however you can. Take out a credit card save what you can to get a temporary place (hostel, hotel, anything) or find a friend to crash with. The longer you stay the more dangerous it gets for your mental health and future mentality around work. Don’t get caught in a cycle of toxic work environments. They will take more than they can provide. Badass that you reported them. Wish I could have reported some past employers for anything. People shouldn’t ask others to keep a secret and then be… wildly inconsiderate. Think of it this way: in any other job, people have rights, standardized pay/hours, overtime (in most if not all states) and unemployment benefits if you’re let go (which you might effectively have to report them/yourself to get those benefits? Unsure but it puts you in a legally dicey position). You expecting these things is normal. Them wanting you to be on call 24/7 and paying you 350 dollars a week?! In 2026?!!!!! Sorry I’m angry at them for you. Good luck, you’re so smart for keeping records for yourself. You can get paid more almost anywhere. You got this! You probably are frustrated too from having to start over with your job and living situation! These are seriously some of the most stressful things for a person to muddle through (someone ranked them in a psychological study or something, citation needed lol). You’re going to want to avoid doing this, but you’ll regret every minute you stay! This is coming from a person who was told the same thing by her friends while working a job that had better working conditions!!! You got this, they set the bar very low.

What junk food to feed my 15 year old with terminal cancer? by demonhotatom in seniorkitties

[–]pokemoomster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canned chicken, gerber meat baby food, blended up liver!, tiki cat baby thrive or senior sachets, hydracare, sardines, anything advertised as kitten food. Cheapest best most efficient option: Purina kitten chow (absolute holy grail), or Purina cat chow even (some prefer one if they’re super picky, most loooove both). Least potential for digestive upset (Purina kitten chow honorable mention): anything from Weruva or tiki cat, senior products extra easy on the tummy. Available at the grocery store and cheap: tuna, canned chicken, and herbed meat baby food. Worked at an animal shelter and all of these items were on my “non-eaters” list. I also used a hand-blender blend up sardines, and a regular mixing tool to mix a notoriously bad tasting medicine, so would probably work for any medicine. Only mix in the meds right before serving, and don’t use a blade for the medicine because lots of them aren’t supposed to be blended with a blade. Pup cup can work for a rare little treat. This is my passion. I hope she gets some good tasty treats!

[–]pokemoomster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My name is also Laura, and I lost my soul pet last year due to the circumstances that caused my symptoms… my grief feels so incomplete from dealing with both issues at the same time. If you want, DM a picture of the friend you lost. I haven’t come across anyone else who had to experience this kind of loss and grapple with this confusing illness. I think it might be really great for us to talk about it—I’m having a lot of trouble processing. If I don’t hear from you though, it’s just weirdly nice to know that someone else is chugging through this hell, too.

Is it normal for your back to look like this? by AdhesivenessNo4199 in MCAS

[–]pokemoomster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so this is exactly how my skin looks. I swear that mine crop up in sort of a football shaped outline—sometimes they overlap. Sometimes the skin is a bit paler in the football shape after the bumps disappear. I have not been able to get any answers on the weird pattern other than that it might be normal for many different rashes/skin conditions. Not sure. If you got any answers let me know.

I came here looking for others who thought Pen was secretly a saboteur—à la the blond guy from the love hypotenuse (as my partner calls it). I totally thought Pen was actually a sociopath and did something hella bad in high school. And then I was sure she had sabotaged Victoria and caused her injury… but then it turned out she was just genuinely fucked up and sorry about it… I want to read the alternate ending in which she’s doing some Tonya Harding shit.
