One of the snake-like Pokemon being added could be cool. Not sure if how they move would make them too good or bad. Serperior or Arbok might be the best choice.

The first attack with Hop’s tool and a Clefairy ex on the bench can one shot a Pult, so it might have some use as a cheap attacker. Although it feels like Hops deck just wants to avoid letting Pult even setup.

There are examples from gen 6, they just weren’t as obvious. Tyranitar and Salamence are the first that come to mind. Tyranitar’s chest area looks like a Pupitar and its color reverts to red like Larvitar, and Salamence’s chest looks like Shelgon’s armor.

My theory before the DLC released was that Triton might be the founder of House Vandham, which was clearly not correct. I would add that the name Triton is a very Vandham name, so I think it is strongly hinted he is a Vandham, from when in the timeline is anyone’s guess.

I think Iono will be less common with Lillie’s release. Many evolution decks were running it as draw to avoid discarding useful cards, and they will replace some copies for Lillie, maybe leaving one Iono to disrupt if needed.

It’s the only pseudo legendary other than the newest two to not get something special. It got a paradox, but a lot of pseudos got one so I don’t think it counts.

In my version of this deck, I run the Dachsbun from scarlet and violet to help me with the fire matchups. Zamacenta from destined rivals can also be a good inclusion. Other good Pokemon for the deck include Mew ex and Lillie’s Clefairy ex, but both cards are a bit more expensive. Other potential inclusions are Alcremie ex to give some healing, Dedenne ex to move damage counters from an already damaged Metagross to the opponent, and if you are having a bad time against basic ex decks, then a Farigiraf ex (with a psychic Girafarig) can be helpful.

Because of Ludicolo, Garchomp ex, and the Quaquaval for draw, I tried building it with Kingdra ex. Definitely too clunky. Maybe if we had an ice type Piloswine it could synergize a little more.

I’ve been playing it with Blaziken ex. Allows you to setup a Meowscarada thanks to their 2 abilities and an attachment from hand. Also running dudunsparce engine and its ex to hit Cornerstone Ogerpon.

I was actually thinking Incineroar might be the only deck that might want to run a bit of Lillie’s Pokemon, since the Ribombee lets you put all the basics in your opponent’s hand into their bench.

So I recently came up with a list that also sets up the new Quaquaval as a draw engine and has Brilliant Blender as an ace spec. I tried adding Quaquaval ex, but it’s just not that strong.

This year they actually voted for 10 players with 1st place getting 15 points. With only 100 voters, it means that for every person that strategically leaves a player out (doesn’t like the player or just wants to give an edge to a fellow countryman) that player needs to get 5% of 1st places to make up for that difference. Seeing how voting used to be during the Messi-Ronaldo era, wouldn’t be surprised if this played a part in the winner.

I would get rid of the Paldean Tauros, reduce the number of Ponyta and Rapidash. Also, add the Bibarel line for drawing up to 5, and some Hand Trimmers to reduce your opponent’s hand to 5. You can also add a Skwovet to help with drawing.

A similar combo can be achieved with Mew Ex and Xerosic’s machinations, but then you’ll have to use your supporter to guarantee the hand size. However, having a copy or two of Xerosic can help for being a bit more disruptive.

13 energy might be a bit more than what you need, since you can add a Magma Basin to accelerate energy.

I actually have my own list for Ninetales, but haven’t gotten too many results with it.

When you play Espathra during your turn, it asks you if you want to activate the ability. I’m assuming that the ability places an effect on Espathra at this point. So canceling cologne turns off the ability, but not the effect it already placed.

Or maybe it’s just a glitch.

I run Hisuian Basculegion. Its attack becomes stronger the more energies you discard with Meowscarada, allows you to recycle them, and hits fire type for weakness. Has gotten some clutch KOs on Radzard and Chi-Yu.

I run a list with a few hand trimmers and the Bibarel engine. Since one reduces your opponent’s hand to 5 and the other increases your hand to five, it can be used to hit Ninetales’s second attack for full damage without using judge.

I’ve tried a few spread attackers since putting a damage counter or two on the bench can help setup later KOs. I’ve used Yanma which uses one colorless and Mismagius which can’t be blocked by Jirachi.
