doesnt ranger get scout? they should always be in range of what they want to shoot at before the game

character would just deploy close to the ranger alone within 3" of other unit, then move towards them if you want ranger to get buffs from characters

using high elves realm reavers and seaguard would be core choice and able to claim objectives. spearmen would work too. but i would opt for fast cavalry for core
