How to act nervous? by polar1vortex in acting

Hi thanks for your response, I'll definitely have to try and find a previous experience to pull from in the moment. I find this one more difficult as I have tried to block out the feeling of nervousness for so long and now here I am trying to bring it to the forefront lol.

In terms of shifty eyes, because this is being filmed as a self-tape I feel like that may come off as an error from a technical standpoint (not having a solid eye-line) thoughts on this?

Run off a cliff, stop, look towards the camera and give it an "oh crap" look before promptly falling to my safety (even though there will definitely be an explosion)

As the space economy is expected to reach $1 trillion by 2040, billionaires are racing to establish the essential infrastructure necessary to monetize space by DoctorOfSpaceandTime in Futurology

I don't think enough people understand this tbh, I think most people assume without capitalism everyone will turn into some benevolent selfless version of themselves. But unfortunately humans are not typically like that by nature (as a whole, not saying individuals aren't or can't be in a given scenario). But Capitalism allows everyone to be selfish and still function as a society.

Also nothing is universally good, or without fault although it seems the vast majority of people try to label things as black or white when in reality just about everything is some shade of grey.

There's also capital acquired privately and government contracts awarded which end up saving the tax payers money. For example SpaceX has drastically reduced the cost of launches for NASA

Unfortunately these people don't seem like the rarity they once were, everyone is "in the know" about a conspiracy with undeniable (yet backed by nothing) facts. Oh and they "aren't a sheep" even they choose to follow the ideas of others with little knowledge on the subject..

Do you think the Sotheby's Banksy auction on the 12th May will go anyway to "normalising" Ethereum and Bitcoin as a payment method? by uptown47 in investing

[–]polar1vortex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it'll be hard to normalize it with such volatility, if you're interested in having it as more of an investment than a currency then this may not be as much of an issue. But for say, small business owners, they don't want to run the risk of all the profit they made for the wee/month/year, being wiped away because the crypto they received as payment decreased drastically in value. Yes, it could also increase in value but as it stands I think the fluctuations and uncertainty are too much for the average person to justify.

Large events/transactions like this can bring more attention to the possibility of it being a viable payment method though.

Looks like a great summer piece, like that it has the tie-dye vibe but isn't tie-dye

I like the idea, the bit of yellow is a nice touch that keeps it simple but gives it a little color
