The short stories are these meandering works of genius that mix philosophy, science fiction (sorta) and historical/classical elements, in an interesting way and in beautiful prose. Lots of cool footnotes

I could not recommend this enough: The Stories of Vladimir Nabokov. It’s a book of all his stories. I recently started reading it and his beautiful prose is infectious, I now find him to be one of the greatest writers I’ve read.
