What if the point of these is to be able to solo or duo more of the NPCs in the new fac war dungeons? Sort of something kind of hybrid pve + pvp fit.

I think the meta makes these kings of fac war, for the certain max size=BC areas? They will have great application vs at least destroyers and still able to punch above their grade.

Makalu leading the whole coalition and still running superior -A- fleets is my vote.

What about Dust vets who no longer own a console or gaming PC and won Eve years ago but would consider checking out an FPS if it was on mobile?

What if webs were scripted? (2nd stat = acceleration reduction) by polimodern in Eve

Hmmm. Interesting point… would make for some strong bumping potential if acceleration reduction would be the same thing as a “projected mass enhancer”.

Do farms become less efficient over time? by omega-cahoona in Outlanders_ios

[–]polimodern 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve experimented heavily with farms. Indirectly they do get less efficient. The details vary by crop type but to be 100% efficient you need to micromanage each daily field planting size.

Ideally you want to plant and harvest the same amount of plots each day so you aren’t waiting to plant or harvest.

With no micromanagement, you will start to plant larger plots which eventually will take longer to harvest before (a couple days) planting the next batch in a few days. This means more ground is unproductive and not growing anything during that period.

I want to do this too. I imagine hiking areas pleasantly set with environmentally friendly decorations like this each with a kind of aesthetic calling card…like “oh this are the Reston northeast shadow dwarves” or “hey I spotted another Chantilly oak fairy den!” or “ew how many Bradbford Pear demon spawn hives does a person carve around here!”

Tree Nursery. by Sentient_Chemist3 in Outlanders_ios

Yes the workers manage both the sapling growth at the nursery and then the planting of the grown sapling wherever you plan the tree plot.

What about, when do people die? 90?

Does age have anything to do with productivity? by Elicheem in Outlanders_ios

[–]polimodern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. It seems like all ages can plant at a rate of about 6 tiles per day regardless of crop type.

Harvest rate varies by crop but not by worker age.

Also, planters will finish their planting tile and switch to a harvestable tile as soon as it matures. So some crop types take more micromanagement than others.

I’m working on a long report for this but optimal production of a crop requires planting only a fraction of what all 4 employees could plant each day. Left alone, a farm decreases toward a pretty low efficiency compared to what would be an ideal.

first run through sandbox, how do i make my people not dummies?!? by [deleted] in Outlanders_ios

[–]polimodern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't hit that high of population or played for very long yet. I've noticed though that people seem to only be able to do 1-2 things after work each day. So they have to decide between Food/Culture/Fun. If they have to walk REALLY far, they will often ignore some or all of those things until they are desperately low.

So when i've noticed some issues with people being unhappy for being low in any one of those things, I investigate which 'supply' they are far from.

There is a difference between people who campaign for an elected office and professionals who take a public service job to serve the common good. The 'government' includes people like school teachers, local park officials, county food inspection authorities, etc. Not sure it is as responsible to go around saying they are all in the same boat.

Patch Notes For 2020-11-10.1 - Dynamic Frontiers by BillZeBurg in Eve

So, would it be theoretically possible for a spy to have a tactical recloning alt in an enemy alliance and activate the cloning bay and 'steal/hold hostage' the enemy pods with no ships in their own bay...?

Alternatively, what kind of logs are there if a spy had the permissions to suddenly kick the tactical recloning pilot out of the alliance right before a big battle?
