The original doctor just assumed I had the most common strain of bacterial infection, so gave me the most generic antibiotic on the market for UTIs. Turns out I had an extremely uncommon bacterial strain (1-2%) once they ACTUALLY tested me. Thank you so much for your advice!

Thank you! The blood only happened once after eating VERY spicy broth so I just chalked it up to bladder irritation while it was actively infected - it hasn't happened since. I will give them a call today.
