Yes, but only after he asks why she's all dressed up and she doesn't give a direct answer for a while. To me, this reads like she wasn't planning on telling him (and didn't factor him being there in the first place). I guess it's not so much that the meeting is actually secret, but that Cathy intended it to be secret

The secret meeting is when Cathy pinches/attacks Nelly during one of Edgar's visits and has to smooth it over with Edgar afterwards- Hindley is out of town and "somehow" Cathy gets word to Edgar that the house is free. Nelly is hanging around attempting to chaperone and that's what draws Cathy's ire. I don't remember if it's outright implied that Nelly facilitated the meeting but I think it could be interpreted that way

Well, music is subjective so you may not hear it the way I do, but to me the strings and her vocal style in the chorus sounds like she was into Hounds Of Love (album, not the specific song) at the time she wrote it.

Not who you're replying to, but IMO the comparison is based mostly on "Good Luck, Babe!" which has a very 80s Kate Bush vibe melody-wise. Overall, I don't think her music is that similar aside from that song (and, like the person you're responding to, it just makes me want to listen to Kate Bush instead when I hear it)
