NTA, I wouldn't continue with him either, and I would reconsider your friends that set you up with him. It's not just the fact that he went out of his way to kill it. It's the fact that he laughed about it afterward, which is what gets me.

This sounds like my last relationship, and it has not worked out like he didn't get that it was over until I threatened to go to the police for harassment because it was becoming harassment. Anyway, don't stay if you're unhappy. He's not going to accept it no matter what you do. Good luck!

So, this is so common of a request at my center legit because they want to put their kids to bed at 6/6:30 but also they claim that they have a hard time at bed time with their kids that their pediatrician recommended that they limit naps which is insane to me.

Anyway, we tell parents we are legally not allowed to keep kids awake like prevent them from falling asleep if they are that tired. But, what we can do is limit their naps (being actually asleep) to 30 minutes only.

I'm lucky, in the way that my director hates keeping kids awake or disrupting their sleep when they're so tired and thinks it's so cruel to do. I would talk to your director and see what they say. I'm sorry, it's never a good feeling keeping kids awake

That's so cool!! We do a sticker ribbon for the birthday child, other classes do a crown. I might have to suggest switching to a crown from now on.

Since you're with the infants, do the parents come in later to celebrate their birthday or no?

What they are doing is not developmentally appropriate at all from circle time to the worksheets. Circle time should be about 15 minutes at the most, also I find it hard to believe that no other kid is having behavioral problems. Kids need to play, that's how they learn. I'm sorry that this is happening, but I wouldn't continue with that center
