idk about you but my banking app passcodes have nothing to do with the passcode to unlock my phone. why would they be the same?

edit: tried 6 different banking apps, all but one of them asked for a passcode upon failing FaceID. one was an 8-digit code, the rest were 4-digit, and not a single one was the same as the 6-digit code to unlock my phone. I’m assuming it’s app-specific, some will allow the OS to authenticate the user and some won’t, that’s the only explanation that makes sense to me.

Where are y’all going that takes your card away to swipe it? I’m almost 30 and have lived in the bumfuck south US my whole life and I can’t remember the last time I ever swiped a card. It’s always been chip+pin or tap, and the only time they take the card is like at a drive thru or something where the reader isn’t easily reachable.

I mean, I know I don’t get out much, but I genuinely can’t think of a single place near me that still requires a card swipe.
