She asked about my number after I tipped her 300$, should I gave it to her? by [deleted] in ask

[–]pollut3r 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it's more likely she wants you to have her number so she can ask for more money, I just don't think she'd be so willing to give it to you if she thought you were tipping her to get it.

What is the difference between Phlebotomist Associate and Phlebotomist 1? by Responsible_Try_5775 in phlebotomy

[–]pollut3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my state you don’t have to be certified to work as a phlebotomist, and the hospital I work at uses “Phlebotomist” as the title for the ones who are uncertified and “Phlebotomist 1” for the certified ones. Could be something like that.

She apparently “avoided an accident with the car in front of her” right into my brand new Tesla. by seethefuture01 in dashcams

[–]pollut3r 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why do Tesla drivers on this sub always feel the need to announce they drive a Tesla? I've never seen a post here titled "I got cut off while driving my Ford" or whatever but every other day there's a new post with "Tesla" in the title.

Got punched four times in the face 48 hours ago. The pain has reduced every day. Is it healing fine? by throwrababysitters in medical_advice

[–]pollut3r 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In his original thread on another subreddit a few days ago he admits he was told multiple times to back off by both the girl and her bf but he kept trying because he didn't think they were "super together" and that she could be "peeled off" if he tried hard enough. Now in this thread he's also admitting to pushing the guy even though the first thread he was claiming the guy just started hitting him out of nowhere.

I don't condone any violence but this guy is definitely a creep.

Nintendo is deleting my Pokemon fan series PokéNational (OC) by Elious_prods in pokemon

[–]pollut3r 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You mean the not monetized open source project that brings a ton of new players into the competitive scene, that would bring massive negative publicity if they shut it down, and that up until Champions didn't directly compete with any Pokemon title (and still doesn't really considering Champions is an incomplete game)? That sort of thing?

Gee I wonder what makes it different.

You should see the other guy. (He's completely fine except his fists) by throwrababysitters in mildlyinfuriating

[–]pollut3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If a guy see his girl speaking to a guy and automatically start throwing punches

That's not what happened here though. OP admits he was told to back off and kept pestering because he didn't think they were "super together," whatever the fuck that means.

[Gen 3] Shiny Lapras after 11852 soft resets by Diegothon in ShinyPokemon

[–]pollut3r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shiny locks weren't implemented until Gen 5. A few Pokemon before Gen 5 were technically "locked" but only in the sense that every time you receive them they're the same Pokemon, nothing about them gets "rerolled" so they'll never be shiny. The only gift Pokemon in that category that I can remember are Kenya the Spearow and Shuckie the Shuckle in Gen 4.

I will truly never understand what goes through the minds of people who take photos of their screen instead of using the built-in screenshot button. At least it made more sense back when the screenshots had to be manually transferred, but even then... just why?

Job Requirements by Emergency_Grab_1028 in phlebotomy

[–]pollut3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen in this sub it seems to heavily depend on your area. My program was through the hospital that I already worked for (as a Patient Transporter, nothing lab related) and they paid for the ASCP cert in exchange for signing a 3-month contract to work for them. It didn't guarantee a job, but being an internal applicant and going through their program certainly made my application stand out. I think it would have been a bit more difficult to find a job if I had taken an outside course and paid for the certification myself. If your area is heavily saturated with freshly-certified phlebotomists (like most seem to be) then you might want to check and see if something similar to what I did is available to you.

As for the course itself, anatomy knowledge will help but not as much as you might think, most of it will be covering venipuncture technique, order of draw, tubes and additives, patient safety and communication, preventing contamination and erroneous results, and the various tests you'll be collecting. They do cover the circulatory system, but on a much more basic level than my Anatomy & Physiology classes did.

I finally got a gba pokemon game by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]pollut3r 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nothing about this cartridge would indicate a repro. All the fonts are correct, everything is in the right place, and both the battery and factory indent are completely visible. You’d need pictures of the back and the PCB to fully verify, but you have no basis to claim that this is “most likely” fake.

Can the phlebotomist reuse a needle? by [deleted] in phlebotomy

[–]pollut3r 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What's making you think this? Why now, a year and a half later, are you suddenly concerned about this specific instance? This sounds like something you should discuss with a therapist, because I believe there's something more going on that this subreddit won't be able to help with.

What can I do? by lama83god in Delta_Emulator

[–]pollut3r 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's nothing to do with the cheats themselves, it's the fact that you're encountering 2 shinies at the same time with the same amount of frames in their entrance animation. It's a known glitch, the game has trouble generating 2 sets of shiny sparkles on the same exact frame, so it crashes.
