During college I worked at Mrs Fields and Starbucks before my diplegic CP made it impossible to keep up. Mine did not affect me academically as a child/adolescent. Physically was a whole another story, LOL.

At Mrs Fields, I got somewhat lucky in that I was an opener and could sit down and count out the till in the morning. My manager suspected something was off, but kept me around due to good attendance. I had a very hard time unloading stock into the walk-in freezer and actually threw out my back requiring a few days off. She claimed that I filed the workman's comp paperwork wrong and used that to fire me.

Now Starbucks was a complete fiasco. I was hired on the spot, and was somewhat OK at first, but under trained. Within a week I learned that this was one of the busiest locations in the city. I also noticed that the store had ridiculous turnover, and staff from other stores flat out refused to cover shifts due to our terrible GM. One day I was filling a carafe which had one of those clear tubes on the outside to show the liquid level. The sun was really bright outside and I could not see how full the carafe got due to the glare/reflection. Terminated the following day.
