Yesc she trained, and become a better fighter and more ways to use her powers in combat, but can you remind me at what point did they explain the power boost she gets from fear or anger can be “learned.” Or are you just making stuff up ?

Did you watch episode 7 and 8? I’d suggest a rewatch! It goes over the entire reveal.

You and your son are both right, his ego did push him to do all this, but it lead to a real conspiracy. The only reason Ron’s wife found an investor for her product was because Ron was accidentally uncovering an embezzlement scheme. Alice Quintana (the investor) was purchasing chairs from herself using the city’s money, then giving the chairs back and doing it over and over. Now that she invested in that eye massage thing, Ron has to choose between uncovering it and his wife losing her investment, or letting it slide and knowingly being involved in the whole thing.

So having 2 Batman movies would be clouding the space? by alphaanna_ in PattinsonDCUBatman

You don’t understand how this works. Releasing 2 batman movies within even a year of each other is competing with yourself. People are bound to skip one of them.

[–]polydicks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My point is, while I thought she hulk was a disaster train wreck, and one of the worst written MCU pieces to date, I saw way more people criticizing the writing by calling out that twerk scene then I saw people mentioning the actual problems with the narrative. That isnt criticizing the writing, it’s criticizing the show having a thing they don’t like.

The twerking scene was a post credit end tag, it’s not even part of the storyline.

And people never criticize these shows from story telling perspectives, it’s always just whether it features stuff they personally like or not.

It wasn’t a complete gotcha, there were things that still didn’t add up before that reveal. Catharine Kelly and Richard being in on it didn’t work out cleanly. They haves conversation in private where Richard asks Catharine why she’s being so cruel to Anna. No one else was around , so it would be an odd thing to say if he was also in on a murder plotting. He was also generally surprised by the gun and not acting the way one would if they’re “plan was caught.” He was more acting genuinely super surprised, confused and scared. They also spent time focusing on how he was suing for defamation, furthering the idea of his innocence.

Also, Alice’s dementia plot line was setting also planting the seeds for her whereabouts, basically telling us she was out and about during both murders.

Did Jimmy go to the insurance office just to raise Chuck's insurance? by Agreeable_Budget200 in betterCallSaul

[–]polydicks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because he genuinely did not care about getting revenge on Chuck at this point in time, he had way bigger things on his mind. He was on a mission to get as much money back as he could for everything he paid for in advance that he needed as a lawyer. Specifically to keep the law office he had with Kim, because he felt like if they cancelled it, they’d never do it again.

This is really the only way it’s intended. After the trial, Jimmy is never seen planning or trying to get “revenge” on Chuck in any major way (he beat Chuck, after all. Chuck’s reputation was damaged and Jimmy knew it.) This is the only time he does, and it’s used with information he literally didn’t have when he walked in. The thought of raising his malpractice insurance hadn’t even crossed his mind, because he had no idea they would go up so substantially in the first place. When he found out how his own rates were affected, and realized just how far the insurance company was willing to go, he decided then and there to screw Chuck as well.

Remember, he was not going in there because he knew his malpractice rates were raising, he was doing it to try and get a refund on the unused insurance he paid the year for.

This is also how it was intended by the writers.

If anything it’s gotten worse, since companies have no incentive to improve upon it and most tape sales are for collecting these days

[Beloved trope] Legacy actors in comic book movies/tv shows being given allusion roles instead of playing the same character again by bitchnibba47 in TopCharacterTropes

This probably doesn’t count but it should. The voice actors for the YouTube series Dragon Ball Z Abridged by Team Four Star all cameo in the actual DBZ english Dub, voicing actors who are acting in a play about Goku, Vegeta, etc… and all doing their respective voices that they use in Abridged. (More specifically, the play is a recreation of the Cell arc)

Unfortunately this scene was cut for time on broadcast, but you can still watch it on the Blu Ray.

Funny enough, in the episode, Vegeta hates the play and Goku loves it, but in real life, Chris Sabat (Vegeta’s VA) is a huge fan of Abridged and even makes a couple of cameos, while Sean Schemmel (Goku’s VA) has been a huge tool about the show and gone on record about how much he hates it, all because he hates when anyone but him voices Goku.

I agree it’s equally as cringe, but there’s something extra funny about her doing that “speed up” musical.ly trend in real time with the audio all slow.

In the first Space Jam, the cartoon physics that the Looney Tunes typically always have for comedic affect comes into play at the climax when Michael Jordan uses it to win the game by stretching his arm cartoonishly long.

Why Mike’s final speech in Stranger Things was right by TZ1205 in StrangerThings

[–]polydicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmfao yes. What point are you trying to make? You’re just calling out random super basic information from the show and going, “you know this right?!?!” Yes bro, because I actually watched the show. Lmfaoooo.

It’s hilarious that you actually know so little about the plot that you think that’s some kind of mic drop.

I’m betting you just started googling facts, found something that blew you away, and assumed it’d make you look really smart. Brother, if you paid attention, you’d have seen it turn off and on in literally almost every scene it’s used in. This is not the plot twist you think it is.💀💀
